They say that all kinds of stories are in the Bible. It may be religion, action, romance, horror, rebirth, quest, tragedy. Name it and the Bible has it. How about comedy? It’s hard to believe that the Bible and God, Himself, has a sense of humor. But come to think of this verses from Proverbs. It says that a happy heart makes the face cheerful and that pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Moreover, there are some episodes and dialogues in the scriptures that are ironic and sarcastic which gives a little laughter. In conclusion, God also shares laughter but not as cruel as the way humans twist it to be. We’re so witty that even the serious one can turn into a funny one, just like what my classmates in Theology did. We were assigned to tell at least one Bible joke a day. I was amazed to their jokes. In fact, I collected them all by the end of the term and here’s what I got.
