Philippians 4:13 I can do everything through Him who gives me strength

There are days when I open the Bible and the first verse that I read will serve as the message of God for me within that day. One morning, I opened the Bible and saw this one. “Ang lahat ng ito ay magagawa ko dahil sa lakas ng kaloob sa akin ni Cristo.”

I know many people are experiencing challenges and even more than challenges in life. They might just give up in an instant. I admit that I’m one of those people facing problems and I also admit that I do not belong to those people who easily give up. My secret? I stick to this bible passage. I let Jesus come in to my heart and now, I feel the strength that he is giving me.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

“Panghabang buhay ang pag-ibig ko sa’yo, o sinta. Kahit na topakin ka, iintindihin kita. Panghabang buhay ang pag-ibig ko sa’yo, o sinta. Kahit na may kasalanan ka, iiyak ako pero papatawarin kita.”

Defining love is not that easy. We may have trouble defining it, explaining and even finding it, but we know deep down inside that we need it. So, the best gift that we may give to our families and friends is love – the kind of love that is being displayed by this Bible passage.

Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.

Sometimes, I write this verse in every message that I give to my friends, like message in slam books and birthday cards, because this is my way of stating how important friends need each other, like the importance of iron to an iron.

There is mutual benefit in the rubbing of two iron blades together; the edges become sharper, making the knives more efficient in their task to cut and slice. Likewise, it is with this that we are to sharpen one another. This indicates the need for constant fellowship with one another.

I would like to extend the Bible Verse Challenge to you. Share your list in the comments box.
