Each individuals sustain an intrinsic yearning of looking great and feeling acknowledged in the socio-economic circle. The word fashion momentarily infers a glimmer of shading with a dash of excitement. We, people, take fashion in a big way. We explore different looks, styles and outfits. But even though we already witnessed or are witnessing various fashion trends, we have this one thing or one piece that we can’t take away from our favorites for a certain reason. Speaking of our favorite clothing piece, I interviewed some of my stylish friends. Let’s hear which piece they consider they consider as an essential.
Clothing piece? Oh that’s hard! I love every piece of my outfit because it builds my own identity. But if I have to choose, it would be my vertically-striped trouser pants due to its rareness in the country. It’s also close to Kimono pants.
Davie Bonifacio is a friend in DLSU, and at the same time, a fashion blogger. It’s obvious why I interviewed him. He’s really into fashion. You better follow him.

Well, I like gowns because I find it as a representation of myself in a way that it shows my creativity and feminine style. To add to that, it also shows uniqueness since every gown has its own design. It feels like people respect me whenever I wear gown because it reflects formality and sophistication.
Mary is my classmate in Economics who wishes to be a fashion designer. When our class becomes dull, she usually takes out paper to draw the gown that floats in her imagination. And I must say that her designs are exquisite.
I’m comfortable wearing cotton fitted shirt. It’s easier for me to move and do things, especially during work, with soft fabric. That’s why most of my shirts are cotton and stretchable.
Dennis is my hair and makeup stylist whenever I need to be on my best beauty. Remember my OOTD: Powers Of Amor and Gown Ideas: Nat Manilag Red Off-Shoulder Trumpet Gown? Apart from that, he also decides which one I should wear in these events. Indeed, he has a taste.
I can’t think of an exact favorite because it all depends on the mood if I like girly or boyish or on the trend. But let me think one piece. T-shirt? I’m not used in wearing them. Maybe, I’ll choose polo shirts because it’s suitable in any occasion.
Shanell is my schoolmate in DLSU who, I think, is mindful when it comes to her outfits. I always admire Shanell’s sense of fashion as she posts her OOTDs on Instagram. So, I asked her for this. By the way, she has a twin sister who is as fashionable as her.
If I were to choose between shorts and pants, I’d go with shorts, which is my favorite clothing piece. I wake up early everyday and I just hate wasting my energy and effort in pulling up close-fitted garments early in the morning. A pair of shorts is much better.
If everyone above is into fashion, well, I also picked a random interviewee who, I feel, doesn’t care of what she wears. Manilyn was our helper in our house and yes, she always wear shorts.
My favorite piece of clothing is crop top because, for me, it’s flattering.
We have a bonus interviewee here! Janella Salvador, on her interview with Total Girl, chose crop top when she was asked what her favorite fashion trend was. It isn’t obvious because as an artist, she shouldn’t be picky on what to wear. But she always looks stunning no matter what clothing piece she wears.
How about me? I think I would go with button-down long sleeves. It looks casual yet stylish. With it, I feel carefree and at the same time, lovely. However, I don’t feel wearing it in a country with blazing sun just like in the place where I belong. But despite of living in the Philippines, I still love button-down long sleeves and wear it if I had the chance.
