Fish & Co: Seafood In A Pan

We were watching the 2015 Philippine International Pyromusical Competition in SM Mall of Asia and we decided to eat somewhere near the event. This is when a maritime-inspired facade enchant us to dine with it. To add on that, its foods were inviting because seafoods are everywhere in restaurant. You know how much I love seafoods. And another addition to that, it’s part of the Bistro Group so we are sure that they offer the best. And yes, we had Fish & Co. for our dinner.

Speaking of the what they offer, the menu of Fish & Co. includes mainly of seafoods, of course. From starters, soups and salads to meal courses, pasta and sweet baits, they all have it. And lately, they added meat, with a great twist, to their menu. Inspite of the fact that this seafood restaurant serves expensive food, they are all worth the buck. With larger portions than the regular ones, one order can suffice for two or more.

From then on, it’s one of my most favorite restaurants. And with that, let me share my unique, delectable and fuss-free dining in Fish & Co.

Fish and Chips

Fish & Co won’t be possible without their signature dish, the best fish and chips in town! I found every table have fish and chips, so this made me think that its tagline is true. And when we had it on our own table, I realized that it’s not the best fish and chips in town. Instead, it’s the best fish and chips in the planet! The fries were surprisingly not oily and I never tasted a fish this delicious before.

New England Clam Chowder

In every spoonful, I can feel the thickness of the soup which indicates that its hot cream is overloading. And I think that was too much because it hurts my throat when I had enough of it. Inspite of that, I still found it great because it is uncommon to find a hot cream based soup with chunks of clam served inside a bread.

Crispy Crablets

If you are looking for something exciting to jump-start your taste buds, you should definitely have their deep fried golden brown crispy crablets, I just noticed that at the end of chewing each crablet, I could taste a little bitterness from it. I don’t know if it’s just me, but my mother had the same comment. Good thing that it is served with vinegar that lessens its bitter flavor

Garden Salad

Their Garden Salad is composed of assorted greens tossed in balsamic vinaigrette, served with crispy garlic slices, ikan dilis, tomatoes and cucumber ribbons and then drizzled with Japanese mayo. The greens, I mean, the violets and the yellows mixed just right. Apart from that, its ingredients were indeed so fresh. We will have this again on our next visit.

Mussels in Garlic Lemon Butter Sauce

We surely enjoyed the taste and texture of the Chilean mussels, which perfectly blends with the garlic lemon butter sauce. I dipped the mussel again into its sauce and I could identify the flavors of garlic, lemon and butter. No doubt that this is their award winning dish. And to say that the heavy cost of this dish is really worth it, they added Baguette bread, which we also love.

Seafood Platter

Let’s have our way to the Fish & Co’s seafood platter! I expected this to be really delicious since the restaurant is focusing on seafood. And I could say that it is more than I expected. Our tummies will be satisfied even though this will be our only order. There’s nothing more I could say about the grilled calamari, the prawns, the seafood rice, the chips, especially the fish. They are all perfect.

Jungle Freeze

Of course, we can’t just leave without swallowing a single gulp of their refreshing thirst quencher. We had a try of their Jungle Freeze which is a combination of pineapple juice and rambutan. The moment I read these fruits in their menu, I can’t imagine what it would if they blended it together. But to my surprise, it tastes good and its iciness is perfect for summer.

Healthy Hearty

What I love about the drinks of Fish and Co is their healthy-being. They uniquely blend totally different fruits to make sure that they form a refreshing thirst quencher, which the customers will get hooked. In this healthy hearty squeeze, I found the bursting-of-flavors sensation – the carrot-y, the mango-ey and the melon-y.
