I just want to repost something. I don’t know if repost is the right word for it. Anyways, how would you feel a day without using technology? Impossible! This has become every day’s application as more and more people are gaining knowledge on how to improve their ways of living. New technologies are being developed daily which shows that the industry will continue to grow and expand. And for today, I want to share the tech trends that I’ve read in Marian Newswaves, the newspaper of my high school. I think it’s alright to repost the article here because I already asked permission to the writer, which is me. Here are some of the latest inventions made by bright minds.

Portal 2 Plush Turret

Here’s a talking sentry that will not only entertain you but will become your cuddly friend. The talking sentry, called Portal 2 Plush Torret, stands guard and utters built-in phrases activated by motion. For example, when it senses movement, it can say, “There you are”, “I see you” or “Target acquired”. When it get knocks over, it will say “Hey, hey, hey…”, “Malfunctioning”, “Critical Error”, “Shutting down” or “I don’t hate you”. When ignored for 30 minutes, it will say “Are you there?” A licensed portal 2 collectible, which is 14.5 inches, is powered by three AAA batteries.

The DesignLine TV from Philips is said to be the closest thing to a floating television. It is made from a single glass pane with no visible plane on stand. The TV is designed to be propped against a wall but it can also be wall mounted or place on a stand. When switched off, it looks like a large square sheet of glass.

Staying up late at night could weaken your immune system. Then you become an easy target for bacteria and virus. Good thing that there is a new virus-eliminating desk lamp that could kill virus, bacteria and allergen around you, especially when you are staying up late to review or finish your homework. The virus-eliminating desk lamp has an integrated fan and bents at the base. That is where the harmless hydrogen and oxygen ions are released to kill the viruses and bacteria. Aside from that, it is also said to be capable of neutralizing smoke from cigarette and volatile organic compounds.

It’s always ugly when you accidentally drop your gadgets in the sink or maybe the pool during vacation. Disposable Paper USB Drive

GIGS.2.GO is developing a paper-based USB flashdrive with 1 GB of storage capacity per stick. Each credit card-sized pack consists of four, perforated, tear-off sticks made from molded paper pulp. Although the memory stick is disposable, its large storage size indicates that it is designed more for re-usability. Users can write notes on the tabs for proper labeling.
