There are two years in our life wherein we experience JS Prom – when we are in our junior year and when we are in our senior year. And if you are updated to this site then you’ll remember that I posted the Contemporary Strapless Black And White Cocktail Dress that I wore during my Senior Prom. But someone questioned me why I posted only one gown and asked where the gown I used during my Junior Prom is. So, okay, here’s the answer. I planned to post it some other time, but since someone’s looking for it now, I decided to present it today.

At first glance, I think that this gown possess little designs from Chinese dresses. I don’t know but that’s what I see. Well, this Chinese-inspired gown is fitted for cocktail parties, promenades or special occasions. Front bodice is wrapped by red satin with intricate black applique and illusion neckline. Beneath its drop waist flows down red multi-tiered skirt at below-knee length hem with black tulle at its edge. Back zipper closure finishes this work.

Occasion:  Cocktail Party
Fabric: Satin
Shown Color:  Red, Black
Neckline:  Illusion
Sleeve Length:  Short sleeve
Waistline:  Natural waist
Hemline: Midcalf Hemline

Remember Ryan Lafuente, the one who gave color to my face on my first gown idea post? Well, every JS Prom, I have him as my makeup artist that’s why. He preferred to give me those pinkish glows on my eyebrows and other parts of my face. And for my hair, my makeup artist told me that it was inspired to Toni Gonzaga’s hair – big and tight curls. By the way, sorry for that awkward smile. I don’t know why I have those.

Since we’ll be dancing and dancing and dancing throughout the night, I chose to wear those black MNJ wedge just two-inches high.
