Jesus Upon Our Dreams

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

– Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

Are you a dreamer? Do you have many plans for your future? Of course, we all have, right?

The wisest way to do in order to fulfill our dreams is to allow God to take over our lives. Let us allow Him to fulfill those dreams. Let us trust and obey Him wholeheartedly! It’s just a matter of faith and bond relationship in Him.

So, let’s grab His promise to us!

1. Jesus is the Dream-maker.

Jesus is the Dream-maker.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD…” (Jeremiah 29:11a NIV)

Jesus knows everything about us. Of course. He is our God! He is the Son of God. He creates dreams for us to remember that He cares for us and He loves us. God is love as said in 1 John 4:8. He put us in this earth to love us. He made us for His plans and purposes alone.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5 NIV)

“your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” (Psalm 139:16 NIV)

2. Jesus is the Dream-worker.

Jesus is the Dream-worker

“…plans to prosper you…” (Jeremiah 29:11b NIV)

Because God creates you, He knows about you. He has plans for you and He will work on those plans to prosper you.

“Many, O LORD my God, are the wonders you have done. The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.” (Psalms 40:5 NIV)

“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:10-11 NIV)

3. Jesus is the Dream-keeper.

Jesus is the Dream-keeper.

“…and not to harm you… (Jeremiah 29:11c NIV)

We are His creations. Of course He will not harm us! He will keep those plans and promises until He comes back.

“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6 NIV)

4. Jesus is the Dream-fulfiller.

Jesus is the Dream-fulfiller.

“…plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11d NIV)

We just need to trust Him with all our hearts. He will surely give us hope and a future. God is good all the time! He will never leave us behind.

Let me ask you:

1. What is your dream today?

2. What is in your heart to do?

3. What are the secret petitions of your heart?
