Kaloka Or Kalookalike

Kaloka Or Kalookalike

Having a kalookalike celebrity is an honor to us, non-showbiz people. Does that mean we also have an artistahin side in our appearance? I don’t know but it’s not wrong to assume, right? Almost everyone of us have kalookalike. I’m glad that Its Showtime had the Kaloka or Kalookalike segment for people to showcase their artistahin beauty. But I don’t have the guts to join. Because apart from the fact that i’m shy to be on TV, I don’t know whose actress will I imitate. For me, I can’t find myself a kalookalike celebrity. They are all my Kaloka! But for others, I only don’t have one. I have eight different kalookalikes from a number of different eyes! I don’t know how this happened. Maybe, in this angle, I look like a celebrity. In this other side, I’m similar to this another actress. And the other angles of my face also have their respective kalookalikes. Well, that’s just my assumption because I’m really confused on whose actress is close to me. Let’s just see this list of celebrities whom they say are my kalookalikes. Please note that these actresses are not from me because in fact, I can’t see their faces in me.

Among all the members of this generation’s IT Girls, Janella Salvador is my favorite. She acts naturally, dances gracefully and really has the voice. In my family’s view, I look like her. When my mother asked her friends about this, they also answered the same celebrity because of our age and the way we dress up. How about the looks? I can’t see her in me but I don’t know if others can really see her in me.

Marian Rivera is a very well-known celebrity, not just in our country, but also in countries outside the Philippines, so I will be really fortunate if I have a face that looks like hers. In the university where we both took college, my orgmates used to call me Marian Rivera because according to them, I look like her. Do I really? Maybe, there is just one angle of me that looks like her.

Silly, funny, witty, jolly yet so beautiful and charming – that’s how I see the half of the Gonzaga sisters, Alex Gonzaga. How about me? I’m quiet and shy, but at the same time, noisy and confident. Beautiful and charming? Oh, thank you! But do I look like her considering that we have quite the same personality? Lito Camo kalookalike, Lito Napolitano, told me that I can be the next Alex Gonzaga because of my looks. Hmm?

Kaloka or Kalookalike? For me, it’s kaloka. But for someone I know, it’s kalookalike. That someone who said this is a talent agent who sends people as extras for TV shows and movies and models for TV commercials and print ads. And this talent agent invites me to join Kalokalike contest in Its Showtime. I said no because I’m not confident to the idea that I look like Roxanne Guinoo. Maybe, a little in this photo!

If in La Salle, my kalookalike is Marian Rivera, then in my high school, I also have another kalookalike. During my first days in IHMA when Agua Bendita is on screen, I could hear a lot of murmurs saying “Dadaan na si Agua!”, “Kamukha niya si Bendita” and the like. It’s overwhelming but it’s also surprising. Do I look like Andi Eigenmann? Perhaps, I do during the Agua Bendita times, but not anymore now when she plays mature roles.

6. Kim Chui

The Chinita princess and I both have Chinese blood. But that doesn’t mean that we are similar because even though I have a Chinese part in me, I don’t have slanted eyes. Kim Chiu has this attractive eyes that tells that she’s really Chinita. However, despite of the said difference, some people are saying that they saw the appearance of Kim Chiu in their first glance in me. My only reaction was “Weh! Hindi nga?”

Remember when my mother asked her friends whose celebrity do I look like and they answered Janella Salvador? Well, one just answered Marlisa Punzalan and sent this photo. The photo caught me because yes, I look like her here! But when I first saw Marlisa in X Factor Australia, it never came into my mind I’ll like her because aside from the skin complexion, her face is really far from mine. We only look similar in this side of hers.

8. Eliza Pineda

Today that I’m in college, I look like Marian. In high school, I looked like Andi. How about in grade school? My grade school classmates and teachers also have an entry here and its the Flor de Luna star, Eliza Pineda. Now, I don’t have the signs of Eliza in my face but before, when we are both young, I have to agree with my friends, I really look like her. They even called me Flor back then.
