I saw a heart-catching review about Kool Kids Ice Cream and Co. on TG Mag where I first discovered it. So all the way from Pasay, I went to SM Megamall to taste the delicacies of Kool Kids. But I had a bad yet not-so-bad experience that made me want to leave the place. My companions and I found it hard to pick what we’ll order so we took time in front of the counter. Because of that, I saw impatience from the face of the cashier. So when we finally ordered, her treatment wasn’t proper. Is her red flag up on that day? I don’t know. We just waited for our liquid nitrogen ice creams. It’s good that they work quickly but when we saw the food presentation of the ice cream, ugh, nevermind. My eyes may be disappointed but my tongue wasn’t. I know I would like their ice cream because hello? It’s liquid nitrogen which made them different from the other ice cream parlors. For all I know, they use it to rapidly freeze the ice cream since it is only made when the customer buys a scoop to ensure it’s served fresh. I guess they changed their menu so we got these treats.
Nana & Ella liquid nitrogen ice cream
It’s the creamiest of all the ones I’ve tried. Aside from Nutella being my favorite chocolate spread, I like that this ice cream has banana which balances the sweetness. By the way, the staff said that Nana stands for banana and Ella stands for Nutella. Apart from this ingredients, this liquid nitrogen ice cream also has cinnamon and wafer flavors in it.
Haley Berry liquid nitrogen ice cream
I’m glad that they create unique names for their ice cream to give the customers thrill in wondering what it is made of. Is this a name of a celebrity? I don’t know but there’s a hint that it is some kind of berry. Strawberry! You’re right! Fans of strawberry will definitely dig Haley Berry because of the creaminess that it gives.
It’s time for milkshake! Well, I would say that this one is too sweet for me. Maybe, it’s because the drink has only one flavor, which is Madagascar vanilla, that’s why there’s no more thing that will balance the flavor. So I suggest that you should add toppings for it. I just don’t know if it’s also applicable to their milkshakes.
Barok Obama Milkshake
There’s another public figure in here! I honestly forgot what Barok Obama is made of so I don’t think it is right for me to have a review about it. I just remember that I like it because it has generous amount of something that causes it to taste good. I think, others, especially kids, will love it, too.
This is not what I want to order. What I badly want is their smores. But since it is not available during my two visits there, I had these brookies instead. And I’m thankful that this is the one I ordered because it’s quite bitter – a great quencher for all the sweets we ate and drink.
