Gown Ideas: Nat Manilag Red Off-shoulder Trumpet Gown

Nat Manilag Red Off-shoulder Trumpet Gown

Honestly, beauty pageants are not my thing. Well, I host on them like when I wore my Mature Shiny Black Strapless Cocktail Dress and my Exquisite Blue High Neck Sheath Gown, I judge on them like when I wore my OOTD: Powers Of Amor, but not join on them. However, I couldn’t say no to my Rotaract teammates when they asked me to join the Ms. World Rotaract 2016 to represent our district. To cut the long story short, my stylists, Lito Napolitano and Simon Peter Abel, let me wear a Nat Manilag creation for the long gown competition of the said pageant. Aside from the fact that this red off-shoulder trumpet gown was made by the hands of the famous, Nat Manilag, it was worn by Miss Universe 2016, Pia Wurtzbach. I just can’t help but be proud.

Red sequins and a floral-lace pattern made this long evening gown by Nat Manilag a unique and glamorous dress. This floor-length gown has a V-neckline that runs through an off-shoulder neck liner to the back which displays it open. This gorgeous gown with an empire waist hugs your curves and flares out at the bottom to create a figure-flattering trumpet skirt. It’s a stylish gown perfect for a runways and pageants.

Well, I can’t explain what shades of foundation, eye shadow, blush, lip stick and such used and how these were applied on my face since I know nothing about cosmetics. All I know is that my makeup was grand and was exceptionally made. I never felt beautiful like this until that day! That’s my makeup artist’s fault on why I looked extremely lovely on every angle. My hair seems messy but in a delicate way. I can’t talk more about that since I can’t see my hair myself even on the mirror or photos. You should better ask my makeup artist, Dennis Basilan, on this.

My stylists were the ones who chose the accessories to pair with this fine trumpet gown. They told me that it was best to wear minimal accessories to emphasize the dress itself and the curves that it gave. Actually, I only wore one jewelry which is a pair of earrings. They were red, small and not dangling. Another pair was added to my long gown attire to cover my feet or perhaps, to increase my height. My heels were six-inches tall and it was my first time to wear heels high as that! I’m glad I managed to walk with those and even won a best in long gown sash!
