But that’s impossible because the fun doesn’t end there. The fast food make sure that their every meal has this wonderful taste that no other has. And I am a big proof on that. I just love them all – the ambiance, the choice cuts of beef, chicken, pork and salmon and the iron plate, which is part of their successful formula. Pepper Lunch is the perfect lunch!

Pepper Lunch Menu

I don’t think I have to describe the meals one by one because they are made equally delicious. In fact, I have tried all their lunch for so many times I’ve eaten here. I just didn’t took photos of the others.

Beef Yakiniku

I can really tell its difference from the usual Pepper Lunch’s Beef Pepper Rice through its sauce. The flavor is very Asian. However, I recommend not putting all the accompanying sauce since it made the dish too salty. Mixing it with rice somehow diminished the flavor intensity. The beef ended up medium well, which is amazing. It has nice crisps on the each slice while the interior stays soft and juicy. The corn is buttery. I like it. The oil was also too much but, I think, that is needed to properly cook the beef while the iron griddle is still hot.

Beef Pepper Rice

1. Beef Pepper Rice

Beef Pepper Rice is Pepper Lunch’s simplest dish yet it is the most popular one in here. There’s no question with that because in this instance, the simplest gives the most natural flavor of the beef. The sear lets you know that it hits the cast-iron just right because all those flavors is kind of getting sealed. You taste the process from how they marinated the beef inside the kitchen and how it continued cooking right in front of you. However, this is abundant in rice that I’m gonna be needing more beef. I recommend adding egg like I did.

Curry Beef Pepper Rice with Cheese

2. Curry Beef Pepper Rice with Cheese

I hesitated to buy the one with curry at first because I thought it would be spicy. Thankfully, there was only a minimal heat in it, which was good as it gave way to the other flavors this dish may offer. The curry flavor was intense, actually, but it feels right. I admire that the beef juices were still present despite of the amount of curry and addition of honey brown sauce. For that gooeyness, I recommend you to choose the Curry Beef Pepper Rice with Cheese. However, the texture of the whole thing when mixed was dry.

Teriyaki Beef Pepper Rice with Egg

5. teriyaki beef pepper rice with egg

The flavor was even more upgraded with Pepper Lunch’s Teriyaki Beef Pepper Rice. Spices are hitting. Herbs are working. I’m speechless. I’m left with a wow. You’re gonna get all that flavors. I like how the sauce just flows to everything. I didn’t just had a teriyaki beef. I also had a teriyaki egg. The beef ended up tender as always. This time, the big cup of rice was just right as it balanced the intensity of the flavors from beef. I tried both beef and chicken versions of Pepper Lunch’s teriyaki pepper and I honestly couldn’t pick which is better. Both are incredible.

Salmon and Chicken

12. Salmon and Chicken

No mixing is required this time. We’re just flipping chicken breasts and salmon cut. The chicken was not sauteed on something so it was super bland. We know how tasteless chicken breasts are so I don’t know why this is how they serve this. It didn’t even get charred flavors when it finished cooking on the cast iron pan. In this way, they are not giving a touch of Pepper Lunch on the chicken unless we season them with their sauces available on their table. The salmon was delish. But it is always good. I’m just glad that it wasn’t overcooked when the heat went out and it retained its natural juice.

Teriyaki Pepper Chicken

13. Teriyaki Pepper Chicken

Since I learned that the chicken in Pepper Lunch’s Salmon and Chicken is steamed with bland flavors, I ordered their chicken that is surely seasoned with pepper and sautéed in teriyaki sauce. I can see that the meat is swimming in its sauce so the flavors are now guaranteed. Just like in the Teriyaki Beef Pepper Rice, the spices and herbs are recognizable. The chicken was cooked nicely. I’ve heard how good this food is gonna be but nothing prepared me for how incredible this was going to be.

Beef and Sausage Cheesy Sizzling Rice

Do they make their own sausage? If yes, then I give my praises to Pepper Lunch because the sausage is beyond great. It’s peppery. It’s smoky. It’s gamy like as if it’s blended with carabao meat. I actually think that the Cheese Curry Sauce is unnecessary because the flavors may be too much already. For the beef part, I’m not sure if it’s the same with the Curry Beef Pepper Rice with Cheese. The beef here is better. The beef and sausage were great on their own but I feel it was too much when combined. There’s a lot of flavors working on this sizzling plate.

Prime Tender

I didn’t choose the Pepper Steak because I’m avoiding too much pepper. I didn’t know that this one is already peppery. I think I should expect it since the restaurant is called Pepper Lunch. The flavors are intense. Adding spices is alright but not to the point that it’ll overpower the juicy flavors of the beef because that is the main thing I’m looking for a steak. They didn’t ask my choice of doneness. It just ended up medium well, which is a little overcooked for my liking. The mashed potato was flawless and incredible. It resembles my favorite mashed potato made by a chef I know.
