That Thing Called Tadhana Movie Review

that thing called tadhana

Before I watched the movie, I heard a lot of positive reviews in That Thing Called Tadhana, especially how Angelica Panganiban acts in the said movie. It has been the crowd’s favorite since its first trailer came out. This made me watch the romantic comedy film, apart from the fact that the main role Anthony is played by JM de Guzman.

That Thing Called Tadhana is a journey of how two strangers, Mace and Anthony, moved on from their respective former partners by going on an unforgettable road trip to Sagada and Baguio, places for soul searching, as said in the movie, to help each other mend their broken hearts.

After I watched the movie, the first comment that came into my mind is that it is my first time to see a movie with only three characters and I don’t know if it makes the film good or bad or neither of the two. I also noticed that the movie came with more words than significant actions, causing it to be just like a story telling movie. When it comes to scenes wherein words are not present, it seems like a fly leaf in a book or a dead air in a radio, making these scenes boring.

Sorry for my bad reviews, but despite all these, the movie retrieved itself because of the very wonderful plot. I bet, this is a memorable movie for all the audience because of the lines released from the mouth of the characters. They left a great impact on most netizens because I saw people posting quotes from it. This movie deserve the title, The Ultimate Hugot Movie of the Year. In addition to that, I absolutely like the animated short story featured in this blockbuster film. “The Arrow with a Heart Pierced through Him” may be short, but with a deep message wherein people can relate to it. It reflects the whole journey of Mace and Anthony.
