What Does Your Dream Mean

What Does Your Dream Mean

My Psychology friend says, every night, we are having either good or bad dreams. We just don’t remember some of them, but when we do, curiosity leads us to many questions like one, the causes of this kind of dream. Well, I already made an article answering that question on What Causes Nightmare. But there’s still two, why am I dreaming of it or him or her. Am I right? I also know your mind’s habit because I usually ask the same way when I wake up. And here’s what I do – I directly go to dreammoods.com to answer my question number two and believe me, my curiosity never kills me again. Anyways, I want to share some of them here in my blog. Listed below are my five chosen symbols that we see in our dreams together with their explanation from the said online source.

Crush

Eversince I was 11, when I start having crushes, I sometimes, maybe always, dream of them. Gosh! Why am I like this? Please take note that I only have one crush at a time and now, I don’t have one. Kidding aside, I know it’s not only me who can relate to this situation. Most of the teens and tweens out there wake up blooming when they dream of their crushes. However, it is still depend on the dream, right? But what does it really mean of dreaming them? Dreammoods.com says that:

To see your crush in your dream represents your current infatuation with her or him. If you find yourself thinking about her or him during the day, then it is not surprising that their image will appear in your dream during the night. If you dream of your crush frequently or that your crush likes you back, then your dream maybe be telling you that it is time to let this person know how you feel, especially if you are dreaming of her or him in a good way. Only good things can happen from you telling your crush. Even if she or he is not interested, at least you can move on and stop wasting time on her or him.

Death

If the first topic is a happy topic, this one is the opposite way. Dreaming of death is serious and we tend to think if it is true, is going to be true or has a relation to reality. Of course, we don’t wish that! Honestly, I experienced a few inconsecutive nights of dreaming friends’ death. However, I haven’t dreamt of my own death. But I know some, or perhaps, many of us are encountering this kind. Don’t be alarmed because dreammoods.com explain a positive side of it.

To dream that you die in your dream symbolizes inner changes, transformation, self-discovery and positive development that is happening within you or your life. You are undergoing a transitional phase and are becoming more enlightened or spiritual. Although such a dream may bring about feelings of fear and anxiety, it is no cause for alarm as it is often considered a positive symbol. Dreams of experiencing your own death usually means that big changes are ahead for you. You are moving on to new beginnings and leaving the past behind. These changes does not necessarily imply a negative turn of events. Metaphorically, dying can be seen as an end or a termination to your old ways and habits. So, dying does not always mean a physical death, but an ending of something.

Spider

I can’t remember if a spider scene already encounter in my dream, but if there is, I’m aware that it’s not frequent. And it never occured into my mind that it is one of the most common dream people have because in dreammoods.com, spiders ranked one in the list of most searched symbol. Well, people won’t search for its meaning if they haven’t dreamt of it unless they’re only curious, right? Let’s just proceed to the famous website’s answer to those searchers.

To see a spider in your dream indicates that you are feeling like an outsider in some situation. Or perhaps you want to keep your distance and stay away from an alluring and tempting situation. The spider is also symbolic of feminine power or an overbearing mother figure in your life. Alternatively, a spider refers to a powerful force protecting you against your self-destructive behavior. If you kill a spider in your dream, then it symbolizes misfortune and bad luck. To see a dead spider in your dream implies that you have overcome some strong feminine temptation.

Falling teeth

I heard that when we had a dream where our teeth were loose and were about to fall if we touch a few of them, it signifies death or something near to it. Oh come on! Where does that myth came from? That’s crazy! And it’s not true so we don’t have to worry anymore if we encounter the same problem in our sleep. But the question that keeps bothering in our minds now is why we have to have this kind of dreams. The reason is given by dreammoods.com.

To dream that your teeth has fallen out and you try to refit them back into the mouth signifies a lack of self-confidence and embarrassment. You are afraid that others will know of your short-comings. If you acted calmly in your dream, then it may point to how can make the best out of any situation. You are able to rise above unfavorable circumstances.

Falling

Dreams about falling are a common theme at bedtime and when we will almost reach the ground we’ll wake up still on our bed. If you or a loved one has been covering this ground at night, you may have questions about what it all might mean. Myth says that angels are carrying us to somewhere I forget. Is it sky or heaven? It’s something like that. What about dreammoods.com? I’m wondering on what is their statement on this matter.

To dream that you fall and are not frightened signifies that you will overcome your adversities with ease. But if you are frightened as you fall in your dream, it indicates a lack of control, insecurity, and/or lack of support in your waking life. You may be experiencing some major struggle and/or overwhelming problem. It may also imply that you have failed to achieve a goal that you have set forth for yourself.
