Kate Spade: Live Colorfully

It’s shameful to admit that I discovered Kate Spade just now. But I’m proud to say that a year ago, I’m not familiar with Kate Spade yet now, I can’t count the number of Kate Spade me and my mom have. The moment we learned about the brand, we started collecting their products without a stop that ranges from bags and wallets to watches and accessories. That’s how hooked we are. Actually, it was only my mom that is addicted at first and in an instant, I was influenced. The bags are originally owned and bought by my mom. I’m just an avid borrower to the point that I knew her bags well enough to make this blog. Therefore, we label these as ours.

Kate Spade is a New York–based design company which initially sold handbags, but eventually extended to clothing, jewelry, shoes, stationery, eyewear, baby items, fragrances, tabletop, bedding and gifts. They are known to the crisp color, graphic prints and playful sophistication of their products. Their style stands to their theme – live colorfully.

Out of innumerable Kate Spade bags we have, here are our top five picks.

I’m so glad that Kate Spade has my favorite bag color and I love bag brands that has this shade of pink. I’ve seen this on Long Champ and Forever 21, too, so like this Kate Spade bag, I grabbed them immediately. Baby Pink just give bags a girly touch which defines who I am. It may be plain. It has no designs and no prints but this is my favorite Kate Spade bag. I never thought that simplicity can be classy as this.

I don’t usually borrow this bag from mom because I don’t like the touch of red on it. However, it’s a good thing that this tote bag has different colors to choose from. Red is my mom’s choice. What can I do? But when it comes to the quality, I’ll give it a high rate. From the fabric to its stitching, it’s evident that the bag is strong and can carry heavy stuff. Aside from the main pocket, it has three more pockets that is enough to hold my things.

What I like about this bag is the fact that it knows how to stand. I mean, when it’s placed on a flat surface, it won’t fall just like the usual bags. I was a witness of its durability. I remember carrying heavy books with this because it’s the only bag I brought that time. I was hesitant at first because it’s Kate Spade. I might break a precious bag. But Kate Spade proved me wrong as it stayed strong all throughout the day.

The simple yet elegant print of this bag was the one that caught my eyes. The design and color is flexible to any outfit that’s why it is our most used Kate Spade bag. Furthermore, just like their other bags, it’s comfortable to wear. It’s made of leather with a soft texture and fabulous feel. The strap may be thin but you’ll be surprised on how many it can hold given that big bag. The inside has small pockets, too, that is perfect for keeping tiny stuff.

You’ll notice that most of our Kate Spade bags are shoulder bags with long handle because my mom is strung out to this kind. They’re originally owned and bought by my mom, remember? But I’m surprised that she has this bucket bag in her collection. It comes with a pouch of the same color. As I said, the brand let its users live colorfully through their products and this is one example. Sometimes, we’ve got to give in to the joy of color especially when it can greatly affect our mood.
