How To Make Layered Jelly

Commonly, we see jelly, which we call in the Philippines as gelatin, only in one color. Sometimes, it’s green for pandan flavor, pink for strawberry, white for milk flavor and clear if it’s flavorless. But kids and kids at heart like me want more fun and more colors. Is that possible? Of course, it is! You can mix and match jelly colors and jelly flavors by making multi-layered jelly. You can serve this during holidays, occasions or after your dinner. Scroll down if you’re want to know how to make one. This time, we’ll be having pandan, strawberry and lychee flavor.

1. Prepare all the ingredients needed. This includes three or more colors of jelly powder, condensed milk, wipped cream and warm water.

2. Boil three cups of water.

3. Pour the first color of jelly powder and stir it occasionally. I chose the red one to be the first layer.

4. Add a spoonful of condensed milk and continue stirring.

5. When the jelly powder melted, release it from heat. Filter the solid particles as it flows to your container.

6. Set it aside to let it cool as it solidify.

7. Do the same way for the next color of jelly powder. Boil three cups of water.

8. Pour powder and stir. This time, I chose the white one to be the second layer.

9. Add condensed milk and stir.

10. Make sure that the first layer is in solid form so you can pour the second layer on it while filtering.

11. Let it cool.

12. For the third and last time, boil water.

13. Pour the third color of jelly powder and stir occasionally. For the last layer, I had the green one.

14. Add condensed milk and stir.

15. Make sure that the two layers is in solid form so you can pour the third layer on it while filtering.

16. Let it cool.

17. Refrigerate.

18. Slice.

19. Top with whipped cream if you want.

20. Your multi-layered jelly is now done and ready to be eaten.
