How I Make Bologna Salad

Bologna Salad is my version of the old-fashioned Ham Salad. At first, I was actually wondering what Ham Salad could be. I was expecting ham slices on a bed of lettuce. Upon searching, I discovered that this dish is already common at Filipino households. But we don’t call it salad. We call it Ham Spread because we usually spread this mixture on loaves of bread.

Ham Salad resembles chicken salad, egg salad and tuna salad. The primary ingredient is simple mixed with a dallop of mayonnaise, salad cream or similar style of salad dressing and relishes. In this case, we’re using bologna sausage instead of the usual ham for a change. After all, that’s what I have here in our fridge.

1. Prepare all the ingredients needed.

  • Bologna Sausage
  • Mayonnaise
  • Egg
  • Spring Onion
  • Pepper

2. Boil the egg.

3. Cook the bologna sausage.

4. Grind Bologna Sausage. Chop the hard-boiled egg and spring onion.

5. Combine hard-boiled egg, sausage, pepper and spring onion in a bowl.

6. Fold this into mayonnaise.

7. Your Bologna Salad is now done and ready to be served.
