Soma 50mg no prescription required no dr by fedex I have always been fascinated with small bedrooms that is just equipped with collapsible tables, hidden cabinets and wardrobes. When a video showing how these kinds of interior was designed appears in my social media feed, it makes me stop scrolling to watch.

Capsule hotels or pod hotels is a type of hotel that features many small bed-sized rooms. These hotels are created for solo and duo travelers who will be away from the hotel most of the time and guests who do not require or who cannot afford larger and expensive rooms offered by more conventional hotels.

Since we had a 23-hour layover at Singapore when we had a flight to Sydney, Australia, we decided to check in at a capsule hotel in the city. We needed a budget hotel since we would only be there at night and immediately leave at sunrise to catch our morning flight. We took the opportunity to check in at Cube Boutique Capsule Hotel. Upon searching the net, we heard positive feedback about the said capsule hotel. It received the 2023 Travelers Choice Award of Tripadvisor.

My husband and I chose Cube Boutique Capsule Hotel’s queen capsule, which can already accommodate the two of us. It has a locker intended for shoes and an under-bed storage for our luggages. Outlets by the bed were also provided. There’s a free WiFi, too. We were assigned at the top bunk so we have to climb a ladder to get to our bed. That excites me. The space gives us intimacy but with the presence of other people.

Sleeping at a capsule hotel made me realize the disadvantage of staying at one. Judging from the presentation of the units, they look neat and tidy. But I’m still not sure if they were really cleaned well because some hidden parts and cabinets have used tissues and trashes stuck so I kinda have trust issues when it comes to sanitation. There’s only one air conditioning unit for the whole room and each capsule only has an exhaust fan so it didn’t give a comforting temperature.

The hotel has a small lobby, which feels cramped because aside from its compact space, there were plenty of tourists’ luggages that were left behind and kept at the side. It felt unwelcoming. At the other side of the reception area is a little bar, where you can order beers and food. I didn’t buy anything but in the morning, I saw bread and more breakfast meals set at its station. I think they breakfast buffet but we didn’t availed that either.

The bath area is actually clean. There are seven cubicles and each is equipped with shower, sink and toilet. It has this modern design that somehow resembles a deluxe hotel’s shower room. This is just a tinier version. However, since it is a public toilet, it easily gets messy with all the water splashed on the floor and towels left on countertop. I caught the bath area cleaned and unused when I took a bath a six in the morning and it was comfortable.

I can feel that the staff were trying their best to keep the common areas clean and let the visitors feel tidy despite of the large number of unknown people sleeping together. I saw cleaners vacuuming the floor. The hallway was sprayed with fragrances. But sometimes, bad odors can’t be resisted when the room is fully occupied.

I appreciate that the hotel had the effort and idea of putting a co-working space at the end of the hallway. Actually, Cube Boutique Capsule Hotel encourages guests to socialize with other visitors that’s why they made this. However, everything is tiny here so, I think, the lounge will jut fit two or three. But that seemed alright because I rarely see people staying in this area. I just use the sofa when I felt confined in the bedrooms.

Both branches of Cube Boutique Capsule Hotel are located at two of the most buzzing spots in Singapore. They can also be accessed easily since they are near train stations. We checked in at the branch that is inside Singapore’s Chinatown, where wet markets, hawkers and local stalls selling Chinese street food are lined up along the Smith Street. As a foodie, I love that we just have to descend to witness a wide variety of snacks.

The other branch is located at Kampong Glam, which is near the famous Haji Lane of Singapore.   Haji Lane is also a historic enclave with heritage building. It is known for its funky murals and quirky cafes by the street. It got its name because of the businesses here. There were many Arab pilgrim-brokers who would arrange the haj Muslims in Singapore and from the nearby islands such as Java.

Cube Boutique Capsule Hotel should be okay to be honest. But it is the checked-in guests from different parts of the world who ruin it. There are people who are insensitive of their loud noises and untidy activities. I remember one American invaded the privacy of another guest, opened her up capsule’s curtain and woke her up to tell her the her alarm is on and loud for thirty minutes. Ugh! I won’t sleep with strangers anymore.
