Discover Your Story At Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel

can you buy soma cash on delivery Costabella Tropical Beach Hotel is a balance between luxury and affordability. Located along the eastern shores of Mactan, the island beside the city of Cebu, the resort gives a mix of rural and urban lifestyle. That’s why we chose this resort as our accommodation for our Cebu City tour on this year’s summer vacation.

generic Soma next day Costabella is a 156-room contemporary Filipino-Spanish beachfront resort with a private white sand beach, refreshing outdoor pools, landscaped tropical gardens, restaurant and extensive leisure facilities where guests may choose to do as much or as little as they wish. This private tropical haven makes it ideal for family beach adventures, get-away with friends, romantic escapes, beachfront weddings and special events.

On its right side, the reception area extends with more couches for waiting guests. Refreshing shades of blue can be seen for a tropical beach touch. Despite of the heritage feel, the lobby still exudes a welcoming vibe, not to mention how approachable the staff is.

Even though Costabella is following an old-fashioned interior design, elegance, convenience and comfort are still provided to each guests. The furnitures and fixtures look aged but that’s understandable since the hotel is three-decade old already. We just experienced some downsides such as the long time it took for the A/C to make the room cold. The wooden cabinet totally suits the theme. However, I wish there are shelves so we can maximize the storage better for our clothes. There is no elevator in our building. It’s a good thing that there are only three storeys but this should still be mentioned in the room’s description when booking. There’s no office chair, too. But setting aside these concerns, we truly enjoyed our stay in the spacious hotel room.

Instead of tropical colors, the usual shades of white were chosen to furnish the room. The setting reminds me of the comfort room in our condominium in Binondo. I’m saying that it’s condo-styled and not hotel-styled. The shower room is merely composed of sink, toilet and shower that also serves as a bath tub. Perhaps, the only fancy about this is the frosted window glass. I’m happy that essentials were provided though except for the room slippers.

It’s better not to open the curtains, or else, we’ll just see a building being constructed. Grander Costabella rooms are near the swimming area, therefore, they have balconies overlooking either the beachfront or the swimming pool. I bet staying by the porch alone was already relaxing for the guests occupying the suites.

The layout of Costabella’s pool follows a conventional design. One is a figure 8 pool and the other is L-shaped. Both are in-ground. I like that they kept it simple with size that is not exaggerated. They were surrounded with tables with umbrella, outdoor chaise lounges and a healthy slice of greenery. Dipping in their pool was surprisingly a therapeutic bath, not just relaxing, because of the warm water.

The island of Mactan is blessed with white sand beaches and we’re fortunate to experience them at Costabella. I noticed that the sand was compact so our feet didn’t sink when walking despite having fine texture. Evidently, cleanliness is also maintained. However, the sand can only be felt at the beachfront since it’s all grassy underwater. Costabella secludes its own beach, which makes it exclusive to hotel guests only. Hence, we were able to enjoy the beach privately since it wasn’t crowded.

Woven benches and couchers are arranged along the beachfront with towering palm trees. It was nice staying at these stylish lounges but my favorite spot in the whole resort is the boardwalk. It’s the thing that sets Costabella apart from other beach resorts. It’s indeed unwinding to have a walk in the morning while watching the sunrise and a chill in the afternoon while enjoying the sea breeze here.

Aside from swimming, I’m glad that Costabella offers more recreational activities for free! Guests have access to the resort’s kayak as another way to explore the surrounding turquoise ocean. Meanwhile, I grabbed the complementary one-hour bike rental to roam around their land. Only a small portion of the compound was alloted for bikes because we are not allowed to bring them in the pool area. Other sports activities are table tennis, billiards and darts.

There are three dining spots in Costabella. Luna is a bar that offers Spanish tapas and a range of inventive cocktails, premium spirits and wines while Brisa is an open-air restaurant that specializes in Pan-Asian cuisines. We were only able to visit La Marina, which is where the complementary breakfast buffet takes place. The buffet is composed of breakfast dishes, pastries, main courses, cereals, soups, rice cakes, salad and drinks. The service crews are so helpful. Their job was to serve but they still insisted to bring my food to the table since I have a lot on my hands already.

Main courses was just composed of the usual breakfast stuff so I just got myself Bacon, Beef Sausage, Danggit, Roasted Potatoes and Tomatoes and omelet from the eggs station. The Bacon and Danggit were already leathery, perhaps, because they were cooked early. The Roasted Potatoes and Tomatoes was good. Pan au lait was a scam! It’s just a bread molded like a flaky pastry. They were able to redeem themselves through the Ensaymada, which was as soft as pillow. Puto Maya is something new to me. It’s delish. The soups were in a DIY station so I can’t really judge the Congee since I’m the one who made it.

I enjoyed the food better during the second day. There were satisfactory dishes like Hash Brown and the moist scrambled egg. I also got to try their sushi and salami when I wasn’t able to see them during the first day. The best things here were the Tsokolate de Batirol, which we can mix and pour by ourselves, and the French Toast, which was completely soaked in flavors.
