Noodle House: JCW’s Hong Kong Style Fried Noodles

While some people choose quick food, which are meals that are served only for a few minutes, other people choose to build up and franchise small food stalls with low investments to cater these customers. These two kinds of people are the target market of companies like JCW Franchise Inc.

Their brands can easily be spotted on train stations and malls. I even got to try one of them, which is the Noodle House, as I’m a frequent shopper of Nuciti Calapan Mall, where one Noodle House branch is located. They offer Hong Kong fried noodles.

Fried Noodles

On my first try at Noodle House, I chose to have the basic, which is the Fried Noodles alone. I like the texture of their noodles, which is tender yet firm and chewy, similar to Italian al dente. The addition of bean sprouts doesn’t only add crunch but also it gives freshness to the cup. The mixture of teriyaki sauce, peanut sauce, oyster sauce, sweet and sour sauce and sweet and chili sauce is enough to make this noodles a great meal.

Chicken Siomai

When you’re selling delicious food but your staff doesn’t give a good service. I was asking which one is available and her tone was disrespectful. I’m talking about the one in Nuciti Calapan Branch. It’s a good thing they sell flavorful chicken siomai and offer delicious sauces. I tried combination 2, which includes sweet and sour sauce, peanut sauce and sweet and chili sauce. The siomai isn’t tender and the two pieces are still stuck to each other.

Sharksfin

I tried combination 1 with Sharksfin and I felt the need to multiply the scoops of each sauce. I’m not a fan of spicy food but the touch of chili sauce to the noodles is delectable. However, while the noodles is hot as I saw it being reheated on griddle, the dumpling stayed cold. I hope they let it warm in steamer to retain its heat. But surprisingly, the sharksfin has savory fillings. It has this seafood taste that is similar to Master Siomai’s Pork & Shrimp. I wish it has more of it.

Beef Teriyaki

The combination 3 includes oyster sauce, teriyaki sauce, chili sauce and soy sauce, which is not available that time, so I tweaked and added more teaspoons of teriyaki and oyster sauce because it’s yummier when saucier. Although I only scooped a teaspoon, the chili sauce blended well with the Beef Teriaki. The beef is absolutely tender and really savory. The been sprouts are so crispy that you wouldn’t mind it with noodles. Everything in here fits well with the stir-fried noodles.

Asado Siopao

Upon opening the bread, you would really know that it’s machine-made. The cuts of meat inside are consistent and neatly assembled. The disadvantage of this though is the meat, of course, isn’t freshly made and the flavor isn’t guaranteed. Moreover, how come this Asado Siopao misses an egg? The bread has this creamy taste but all in all, I’ve tasted better and it can be bought just near their stall. On the other hand, the gulaman has dominance of bitterness than sweetness.
