Simply Lemon: 100% Natural, 100% Refreshing

It has been months since we opened our second branch of Breen Milk Tea in Calapan. We just rented a small stall at the ground floor of Citimart Island Mall. And if you’re from Calapan and you’re familiar with the place, you are aware that Breen Milk Tea Calapan has neighboring food establishments like Zagu, Lots’a Pizza, Kerrimo, Geruz Turkish Shawarma and LJ Calamares. People and customers think that there is a competition going on in here since we are all in the line of food. But in all honesty, we are friends here. We help each other and we support each other’s products.

Last time, we welcomed the newest food stall to operate in Citimart Island Mall. And I was all smiles when I knew the product they offer because I’m fond of lemonades, especially when they are 100% natural and refreshing. I’m talking about Simply Lemon!

Kiwi Lemonade

According to the staff, Kiwi Lemonade is one of their bestsellers so we tried it first. For me, the mix was just right but it would be perfect if they shook it properly to let the ice melt a little bit and to cool the drink more. This will also lessen the sweetness because I find their Kiwi Lemonade really sweet, especially when the ice wasn’t melted yet. But I’m glad that they got the kiwi flavor right. I could also sense the freshness of the lemon.

Strawberry Coat Lemonade

Before anything else, let me explain the difference between their two strawberry products. The Strawberry Lemonade is a strawberry-flavored lemonade while the Strawberry Coat Lemonade is their classic lemonade with strawberry popping boba as sinkers. I appreciate that their base lemonade is kinda sweet and the popping boba has a bursting delectable impact on the drink as it eases the sour flavors of the lemonade.

I must say that this is Simply Lemon’s tangiest drink. What do I expect? They combined zesty fruits, which are lemon and blueberry. Regardless of this fact, Blueberry Lemonade is still my friend’s favorite drink in Simply Lemon. But for me, I was still looking for more berry flavor. Anyway, I can’t finish this review without mentioning this jumbo cup, which I find enjoying because its lid allows two straws in. Is this a couple’s cup? Regardless, this one big cup is just for me.

Lemon Tea

I’m happy that they have an addition to their menu. When I heard about their new product, I immediately tried the Lemon Tea. And with a lot of stuff going on in here, it seems that this cups is also happy. It has a tea bag, calamansi and cucumber slices and fruit jelly, which I decided to add. In terms of taste, I wasn’t able to recognize the tea since it wasn’t brewed. I saw them make the Lemon Tea and they just put the tea bag in the cold drink.

Mango Lemonade

When it comes to Mango Lemonade, I was able to appreciate the base lemonade more since the flavor of lemon is dominating than the flavor of mango. I like the touch of acidity into this drink. If you know me well, I like almost everything that is sour. So this one is just right for me. It has mild bitterness but that just proves that the lemons were natural. I recommend to add Fruit Jelly, like the one in Lemon Tea, to make it more delicious.
