Zentea Tea Creations

It’s the 307th day of quarantine period in our region and ever since this lockdown started, I noticed that people are opening small businesses in order to survive. Surprisingly, one of them is the milk tea business. Milk tea shops are popping in every corner. I love milk tea but sadly and honestly, milk teas here taste similarly as if the shops are using the same brand of ingredients. Only few milk tea shops here stand out and one of them is Zentea.

Real tea lovers will easily like Zentea because they put strong tea flavors in their drinks. Customers may not be familiar with the names in the menu because they use jargons. Zentea’s common flavors are Pearl Milk Tea, Taro and Wintermelon, which are named Nai Cha, Taro and Autumn respectively. Let’s give these and their other flavors a try.

There isn’t much difference between Nai Cha and Horlics except for the added malt flavor. I can sense the malt in Horlics but it is so minimal. It also has more tea than milk. I actually have no problem with the amount of tea but I hope that they at least added more sweetness in it. Their nata has unique flavors compared to the usual nata. However, it dominated the flavor of the milk tea, especially when the pearls are bland and the milk tea continues to be flavorless.

Soma overnight no consult fast delivery Lychee Green Tea

Lychee Green Tea totally tastes like the water in a canned lychee. It would surely be a complete cup if it also has lychee bits. But looking on the available sinkers, I recommended to add Nata. The drink is just quite bland because of the green tea, which minimizes its sweetness. Some may like it though but for my preference, I would like to increase its sugar level. I also had their Passionfruit Green Tea and it’s meh.

Metallic PersonaliTea

If you’re wondering what an iced tea should taste like, you must try Zentea’s line of PersonaliTea. I had the Metallic, a combination of strawberry and lemon flavor and it’s taste is amazingly firm. It’s like I’m drinking a bottled iced tea. Green tea is strong but not dominating. Although I couldn’t sense the tanginess of lemon in here, I enjoy munching the strawberry bits that seems real.

Mango Creme Tea

When you choose the flavors under the Green Tea and Personalitea section, you can opt to have a cream-based milk tea instead of green tea. And I recommend you to do this when you’re in Zentea. I tried Mango Creme Milk Tea and it’s like I was having a fruit yoghurt because of the mango’s sweetness and tanginess and the milk’s creaminess. And I must say that the burst of flavors is incredible.

3 Berries Creme Tea

OMG! Adding fruit cream milk tea in their menu is a great idea. As i said, most of their milk tea are more on tea. But since we’re talking about Creme Tea, the milk became more dominant than the tea. I love this and I also recommend the 3 Berries flavor. I like the hint of tanginess. It balances the sweetness. Along with it is Zentea’s Autumn, which I found to have strong wintermelon flavor. I don’t know but it kinda resembles an Okinawa milk tea.

Bandung

If there’s a word for Zentea’s Bandung, that would be one-of-a-kind. They just brought us the taste of Singaporean rose cordial milk! I can really distinguish the flower since it is fragrant in the mouth. It’s like I’m eating Sampaguita. And surprisingly, the milk tea is milky and creamy this time. I guess they made the tea mild to give way to rose syrup. But everything’s well-balanced if you’re going to ask me.

Matcha

I noticed that in their menu, the matcha is separated from their milk tea section and I think, it’s because they use fresh milk for this and creamer for the rest of their milk teas. I can taste the fresh milk from this cup and at the same time, I’m enjoying the leafy flavor of the matcha. In fairness, their pearls improved as it became chewy this time. I also added small pearls, which they call pellets, and they are soft as well.

Cucumber Lemonada

Honestly, this is a good lemonade. It’s evident from its taste that is made from freshly squeezed lemon. It kinda taste like lime, which I approve. However, I ordered a cucumber lemonade and I couldn’t feel the flavor of the cucumber at all. I’m not looking for the Nestle-like cucumber lemonade because that’s unnatural. I just want to find its difference to the classic lemonade. Don’t tell me that it’s just the sliced cucumbers inside.
