Best Of Lotte

It’s the 90th day of quarantine period in our region and it’s a great day to talk about the food products I bought. For the last two weeks, I was sharing the brands that are available in our local grocery stores. Last time, I did a little add-to-cart activity while just sitting and staying at home. I shopped for some Lotte products that aren’t common in the country’s market. Today, the brand I’m going to feature arrived.

Having Lotte products on my table feels like having a “Filipino tries Korean products” vibe here. But instead of vlogging, I do this for blog. Let’s start our taste test, shall we?

Pepero

Name a Lotte brand and Pepero will surely be the first thing in mind. It’s so famous that Koreans even celebrate Pepero Day in their country. In my country, you can see it everywhere. My favorite Pepero flavor is the one covered with cookies and cream. The combination is heavenly. This time, I tried the choco-filled pretzel. It has softer pretzel yet it’s still crunchy.

Almond Chocoball

Roasted almonds enhance the taste indeed. The chocolate gives me a one-of-a-kind sensation like as if it’s flavored with a fine wine. It has the right sweetness. It’s so good that you will be forced to eat a box of these chocolates in one seating. I don’t have anything to comment about the almond since the nut is incredible as always.

Glutinous Rice Cake Pie

This reminds me of two snacks – the Japanese mochi and Fibisco’s Choco Mallows. I actually think that Lotte’s Glutinous Rice Cake Pie is the combination of the two. But upon tasting, I realized that it has its own uniqueness. I find it weird since its my first time to encounter something like this. But I truly enjoy it. I like the chocolate filling.

Malangcow

At first, I thought that it’s a version of Pastillas, a Filipino soft milk candy, because of the texture. I can’t help but be mesmerized when I had a bite since it’s another type of food I haven’t tried. It’s chewy and soft. It’s like an edible and delicious foam. I can’t explain how good it is. It’s very milky like Haw Haw Milk Candy.

Binch

I was expecting a big biscuit but found these cute medal-sized biscuits instead. It easily melts so I suggest to chill them first before eating. But they’re undeniably yummy. I like the chocolate coat. I totally admire them for giving different chocolate variants for their products that are all delicious in their own ways. The biscuit was good as well.

Sunflower

With these Lotte stuff I bought online, especially with this Sunflower, I’ve come to realize that Lotte are making snacks that are out of this world. Who would have thought of selling chocolate-covered sunflower seeds? This is beyond amazing! I already love them at the fact that the seeds are already peeled. I give it plus points for being chocolate-flavored.

Chic Choc Tiramisu

This is one of the Lotte products I bought through Lazada so I understand why I got a cracked cookie. There’s a high possibility that this might break during shipment since its a soft cookie. Besides, it was the taste that matters. It smells like Mocha-flavored Hansel. The coffee flavor is there but I wish it has more of it. I’m fond of javas!

Koala’s March

I have to be honest that when it comes to this kind of biscuit, I’m more familiar with Meiji‘s Hello Panda. I found Lotte’s Koalas March beside it and was hooked to the choco banana flavor. It has cute form but honestly, I’m disappointed because it doesn’t have generous filling. Plus, it’s not creamy and it’s hard.

Milkis

Milkis is a milk soda. Yes, you read that right. Just like you, I was curious on how this tastes so I gave it a try. It doesn’t give me the milky or creamy flavor that I expect. Instead, it tastes like a lime soda because it’s tangy like Sprite. I’m not sure but I like to think that it got its dairy content from yogurt, which gives the sour factor.

Aloe Original

I always wonder how aloe vera juice would taste like. I’m glad that I bought Lotte’s Aloe Original as it satisfied not just my curious mind, but also my palate. It’s refreshing! It’s like a Mogu Mogu but I don’t have to chew because it includes pulp of aloe vera that pops in mouth. They also have pomegranate and tomato flavor.
