Bond And Dine In Style At Fushun Ezprezzo

It was 2018 when Fushun Ezprezzo first made noise in my hometown. I could still remember how grand it was because I was there. It was full of action as professional chefs showcased their cooking skills and put flame on dishes. Up to now, Fushun Ezprezzo still showed finesse as they offer quality dishes from Asian and Filipino cuisine. They have wide selections of pork dishes, beef dishes, chicken dishes, sizzlers, salads, hot pots, homemade pastas, burgers, desserts, coffees and alcoholic beverages. I couldn’t count how many times I’ve been here. You couldn’t blame me. It’s near my place. From my house, I could see the building where Fushun Ezprezzo situates and vice versa. In this blog post, I would like to share my thoughts about their food.

Cochinillio

Fushun Ezprezzo has a different take on the famous Filipino dish, Lechon. Instead, they have here Cochinillio, which is a roasted piglet. I noticed that they tweaked the dish and instead of giving us the pork, they made a meatloaf and stuffed it beneath the pork skin. The dish has crispy skin, the sauce is fingerlicking and the stuffing has right amount of spices. However, the fats were thick so be ready for a putok-batok experience.

Sizzling Bulalo

We ordered Sizzling Bulalo on our first visit and this became an instant favorite. This appetizingly soft beef was cut into pieces so it will be easier to eat. Plus, there’s no bone that distracts. I so love the toasted side, especially with this good sauce.  But the last time we went to Fushun Ezprezzo, we learned that it’s phased-out. Our fave switched to Sizzling Kare-Kare, which is equally luscious. They used different type of meat than the usual, which is alright.

Salisbury Steak

We were surprised to see five pieces of patty in their Salisbury Steak. That’s so generous of them. However, I wish it has more sauce because the sauce is absolutely delicious. I also think that it lacks mushrooms or maybe, my boyfriend seized more mushrooms so I didn’t notice. Anyway, the patties were made tender. I like it, especially the crust and the charred areas. It surprisingly blends with the bell pepper.

Chicharon Bulaklak

The Chicharon Bulaklak we got is toasted making the crackers hard. It isn’t just overcooked. Some are even burnt to the point that it can’t be eaten. I’m thankful that most of it are still savory. I also appreciate that the fats were removed. Speaking of pica-pica, we also had Shanghai rolls and squid rings. Lumpiang Shanghai is the opposite when it comes to serving size while the Fritti di Calamari has balanced amount of squid and coating.

Spaghetti and Meatballs

This is created with homemade pasta and I truly admire them for that! It’s so unusual for restaurants in Mindoro to make their own wheat ingredients. It’s beautifully made. It’s thin and light in the mouth. I so love the feeling of munching them! They used beef for the meatballs making the whole dish savory. Their version of Spaghetti with Meatballs isn’t saucy so I could taste the wheat flavor of the pasta more than the red sauce.

Fushun Classic Burger

When a dish is named after the restaurant, it must the food house’s specialty. It is huge. However, the bun isn’t new and the patty is bland yet tender. It has generous amount of vegetables and it is topped with quality cheese. Their fries is delish as always. I wish it has more of it. Fushun Classic Burger and their Hot Wings are my preferred combo. I love that they are all wings because I’m not a fan of drumettes.

Banana Crumble

The first thing that caught my palate was the natural flavors of banana. I noticed that as much as possible, they are using homemade ingredients for their food, which is great. Actually, this Banana Crumble gives me a homey feeling. I can’t explain how delighted I am to have this. It has the right sweetness although its texture is smoother than crumble’s yet coarser than to parfait’s. I just wish it’s colder so it would be more refreshing.

Cappuccino Ice

I saw that they have an array of javas in their menu. Since it’s already night, it would be strange if I order hot so when I saw Cappuccino Ice, my heart leaped a little. Then, they served me this coffee in a cup. I even told the waiter “Cappuccino Ice po ang order ko.” after receiving before holding this cup of surprisingly cold cappuccino. This one interests me because it’s rare to pour iced coffee in this kind of cup. Anyway, when it comes to taste, the coffee and milk were dominating.
