How To Make Coffee Sundae

This is a sundae and actually, a sundae doesn’t require a recipe, measurements or list of ingredients to follow. These things really depends to the preference of the creator. You can choose whatever flavor of ice cream you want or whatever toppings you desire. Basically, we’re just going play here. And maybe, I’m just here to show you my version of coffee sundae. I got the inspiration from Italian’s affogato.

The word affogato means drowned in Italian. So by connecting the dots, I’m assuming that it’s because the gelato is drowned into espresso. It’s a classic Italian dessert that will keep you awake for the rest of the day, for sure.

1. Prepare all the ingredients needed.

  • ice cream
  • chocolate syrup
  • coffee
  • whipping cream
  • coffee powder
  • biscuit to decorate

2. Splash some chocolate syrup on the sides of your glass. I would like to use a wine glass for this.

3. Throw two scoops of ice cream. I chose vanilla ice cream.

4. Pour coffee on top of the ice cream. I used spoon so it won’t spill.

5. Top with whipped cream. Yep! That’s chocolate-flavored!

6. Decorate with the biscuit of your choice. You can have wafer sticks, graham crumbs, nuts, sprinkles or cake bars like mine.

7. Your Coffee Sundae is now done and ready to be served.
