How To Make Honey Mustard Hot Dog Spaghetti

I’m not a kid anymore. I neither do have kids. But that doesn’t stop me from making kiddie fun meals like this hot dog spaghetti, which is sometimes termed as Threaded Dogs or Hot Dog Spiders. I got this idea from Total Girl magazine. In their recipe, they skewered the noodles into hot dogs, cooked it without sauce and made dips. One of the dips is honey mustard, which got me thinking of making a hot dog spaghetti with honey mustard as the sauce. After all, I got the ingredients ready in my cupboard. My friends who hate mustard surprisingly liked it. I hope you do, too.

1. Prepare all the ingredients needed.

  • 1/4 kilo spaghetti pasta
  • 10 pieces hot dog
  • 1/4 cup mustard
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 garlic
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • olive oil
  • 50 grams bacon
  • parsley

2. Slice the hot dogs into smaller pieces.

3. Fry the hot dogs and the bacon. I’m using a griddle plate so I was able to cook both at once.

4. Insert uncooked spaghetti pasta into the hot dogs. I put three to four pasta in every two hot dog pieces.

5. Boil water with oil and salt.

6. Then, cook the pasta.

7. While doing that, chop the garlic.

8. Mix honey, mustard, garlic, salt and pepper.

9. In a pan, heat olive oil and pour the honey mustard mixture.

10. Add the cooked bacon slices.

11. Pour the cream and mix.

12. After cooking, strain the pasta.

13. Mix the pasta into the honey mustard sauce.

14. Place in a plate and garnish with parsley.

15. Your Honey Mustard Hot Dog Spaghetti is now done and ready to be served.
