Kape Di Ne Sa Socorro

Started as a counter at the owners’ front door to a tent with wooden tables and chairs to a mini indoor cafe, Kape Di Ne is now known as a coffee shop that offers a wide selection of food items, apart from their coffee beverages, and a hangout spot with both air-conditioned and al fresco dining. It is located near the boundary of Socorro and Pinamalayan so it attracts residents of both towns. I witnessed every stage of their cafe’s growth and I feel joy to see Kape Di Ne flourish to what it is today.

Check out these drinks and meals. One of these could be your next order in Kape Di Ne.

Brewed Coffee | Dark Mocha with Seasalt Cream

I saw their Dark Mocha with Seasalt Cream on their Facebook page and it caught my eye so I immediately messaged them and had it for pickup with a cup of brewed coffee. It reminds me of the salted cream cold foam of Starbucks so I’m happy that they released something like this. It highlighted the flavor of the mocha more. Their bean choice for their brewed coffee may not be my cup of tea, or cup of coffee, shall I say? But I’m just happy that it wasn’t acidic. I’m actually surprised at how plenty it was for a brewed coffee.

Hot Matcha | Hot Caramel Macchiato

The weather was gloomy so my friends and I decided to buy hot drinks from Kape Di Ne one night. While my friends took home the cafe’s Hot Caramel Macchiato, I tried their Hot Matcha. I thought it would be bland or too milky because of the pale green color but the earthiness was just right for a creamy matcha. It was also not too sweet. My friends also gave me thumbs up when I asked for a feedback on their order. Actually, Caramel Macchiato is my husband’s go-to drink here.

White Chocolate Mocha | Clubhouse Sandwich

I’m proud to say that I am one of the first customers who reached the time when Kape Di Ne was just serving fries and sandwiches for their snack menu. The Clubhouse Sandwich was my favorite during that time because of how filling it was. Recently, they made the serving size bigger, which is good. The hot White Chocolate Mocha was sweet and velvety. The coffee was present and was balanced with milk. I also tried the iced counterpart of this drink and it was just as good.

Green Apple Soda | Hotdog Sandwich

This Hotdog Sandwich is not your usual hotdog sandwich! It’s a juicy hotdog in a long freshly-baked soft bun, served bigger and upgraded with grated cheese, lettuce and yummy dressing. It was definitely a great deal already for its price. As for the drink, the flavor of the green apple is rich despite of the intensity of the soda. There’s no wonder why it’s their bestseller among the Fruit Soda section. I’m also loving the color gradience. That’s a plus point for aesthetics.

Iced English Toffee | Smore’s Waffle

Looking at the waffle, I admire at how it was neatly made despite of the generous fillings of marshmallows, graham and chocolate syrup. The waffle was thick, too, which can easily make one tummy full. It has soft interior and crispy exterior, which is how I want my waffle to be. Despite of having a sweet snack, pairing it with Kape Di Ne’s Iced English Toffee was still a good idea since it’s caffeine-strong. The flavors of coffee and the toffee were balanced as they were both recognizable.

Horchata Frappe | Big Breakfast P

Kape Di Ne is also serving American breakfast platters! We picked the one with ham, which was flavorful and had crispy edges. The hash brown pieces were as cute as chicken nuggets. They were surprisingly not oily. This set has plain waffles but they were sweet and delish even without the syrup yet. The scrambled egg could be fluffier and saltier. I paired this with their Horchata Frappe, which had strong milk and cinnamon flavor. The outcome wasn’t close to El Union’s but it is still a great alternative.

Mixed Berries Frappe | Blueberry Cheesecake

I ditched the coffee this time and opted for a berry drink and a berry dessert. The Mixed Berries Frappe was indeed refreshing. It’s fruity and creamy in one cup. Moreover, the ice was blended finely and the cream on top was nicely whipped. I thought that the cheesecake would be oversatiating because of that thick layer of cheese but I was wrong. It was a delightful dessert. The tangy jam complemented the sweet and salty cheesecake. I was also amazed at how it was smoothly created.

Tapa Rice Bowl | Bangus Belly Rice Bowl

Recently, the cafe added all-day breakfast items like silog meals, together with their flavored wings. We took our lunch here after our delivery and opted for their Tapa Rice Bowl and Bangus Belly Rice Bowl. Thankfully, the bangus belly was boneless so we just devoured the fish without minding any thorns. On the other hand, the tapa could have been more tender but the meat was full of flavor so it was all good. The meals were completed with well-seasoned scrambled eggs, ketchup and vinegar sauce.
