Kingsford Hotel Manila: Lifestyle Reimagined

Kingsford Hotel Manila was our home when we needed to stay for a night near NAIA. We were on our way to Japan and we had a long ride from our home in Mindoro. A relaxation from an affordable yet refined hotel is all we wanted. I’m glad that Kingsford Hotel Manila has fulfilled our demands.

This Megaworld’s newest hotel is located inside the Entertainment City of ParaƱaque, specifically between Solaire Resort and Casino and Okada Manila Hotel. In this city full of luxury, here’s a cosmopolitan hotel, designed for budget travellers.

The lobby is small, which is expected since the land area of the hotel is small. They designed the interior asymmetrically but despite of the size and arrangement, the reception area looked elegant. The blend of deep blue and gold exudes sophistication. It is still spacious enough for waiting guests. Lounge area is provided and there a number of sofas for guests to get comfortable.

The staff is incredible. Every personnel is trained well with proper hospitality from guards to receptionists to housekeepers. Assistance can easily be requested. The security team is strict when checking the guests’ baggages, which is just right for our safety. I love the way the employees greet guests with their right hand placed on their chest. I truly felt the warm welcome.

The blue-and-gold theme extends to Kingsford Hotel Manila’s Deluxe Twin Room. The interior design is a mix of class and minimalism. Moreover, we were rewarded with comfort and convenience during our short stay. The beds were soft and neat. The room was well-ventilated. The WiFi connection was strong. I just wished they cut each room larger.

This is probably the smallest shower area of a four-star hotel room that I’ve been to. It’s alright, as long as the basic essentials are here. There’s a bidet and a heater. The water pressure was strong. There are toiletries. The body wash was too watery though. I thought it was alcohol for a second. I appreciate the cleanliness. But they could have added some decorative details like what they did to their lobby, restaurants and rooms.

While other guests can enjoy the view of the hotel’s swimming pool through their window, we, at the Deluxe Twin Room, has the scene of another body of water! This narrow water channel is connecting to Manila bay, as we can also see the bay on the left. It would be a lovely view from here if only this watercourse is clean and clear. If only the Filipinos and the government can fix this, I can already imagine a beautiful skyline over the river.

You’ll never ran out of food choices when you check in at Kingsford Hotel Manila as there are not just one, but three, dining outlets inside. The Zabana Bar will immediately greet you once you entered the hotel lobby. You can grab a cup of coffee while waiting for your companions or buy yourself a wine while capping off the night. You’ll also find Quick-To-Go that’ll satisfy your pastry cravings. Another bar is located in the hotel’s pool area.

The hotel’s flagship restaurant is the Kingsford Cafe, where we claimed our complementary buffet breakfast. The size of this embellished restaurant is enough for casual dining. However, it gets crowded at mornings. The food selection for buffet breakfast was surprisingly large. However, it was composed of the usual stuff so I only grabbed a little.

The scrambled egg was fluffy but it was underseasoned. The champorado was also bland. It has more liquid than rice. There’s nothing special with their bread section. The breads on display were common in a bakeshop. I liked the bread pudding. It was sweet and moist. I love that there’s a lot of veggies and dressing to choose from for the DIY salad. The Caesar dressing is delish. The fruits were surprisingly sweet even they’re not seasonal.

As I reached the sixth floor, all I could say was “wow.” The pool, the sky and the panorama of the vibrant Entertainment City – everything is perfect! It was past five in the afternoon and I was able to catch the hues of the sunset. We had no time to swim since we are just travellers, staying for the night. But staying out of the water while chilling beside the pool bar and enjoying the view, was equally relaxing.

Aside from the swimming pool, amenities include fitness center and wellness hub. Indeed, Kingsford Hotel Manila complete our luxurious experience with these facilities. In summary, here’s a TikTok video I created featuring Kingsford Hotel Manila. In all honesty, it’s not the best hotel out there but I’ll still consider and include it in my options whenever I needed to stay overnight near the airport.
