How I Make Indonesian Avocado Frappe

I’ve already tried something unusual last time with coffee during the Vietnamese Egg Coffee. Now, we’re having another strange pair, which is coffee and avocado. I saw avocado coffee first on TikTok and the combination felt weird. But I discovered that Avocado Coffee and Avocado Frappe isn’t new in Indonesia so I gave it a try. I don’t know but it feels like Southeast Asians really like experimenting stuff with coffee so they come up with these flavors. But anyway, let’s proceed to blending up this frappe.

2. Brew the coffee.

3. Peel, debone and mash the avocado with sugar.

4. Get your cup or mason jar and put a spoonful of mashed avocado at the bottom layer of the frappe.

5. Add milk and ice to the remaining mashed avocado and blend until creamy.

6. Get your glass and pour chocolate syrup on the side.

7. Pour the shake.

8. In the same blender, shake ice and brewed coffee.

9. Top avocado shake with an ice cream scoop. I actually do not know what an ice cream is doing here but Kopi Alpukat has it so I just have to follow.

10. Pour the blended coffee over the ice cream.

11. Your Kopi Alpukat is now done and ready to be served.
