Oinky’s Mindoro Delicacies: Your Favorite Hangout Spot In Pinamalayan

If you live in Pinamalayan and you do not know Oinky’s, you could very well lose your citizenship.

Located along the Nautical Highway in Marfrancisco, Pinamalayan, Oriental Mindoro, Oinky’s Mindoro Delicacies is a restaurant in town that is known for their cocktails and pulutan. It first opened to public in 2014 by Priscilla Dantes Caday. Imgine! It just started as a simple carinderia that offers their original recipe of tapa, tocino, sisig and Gotong Mindoro. But look at it now. As the ownership was passed to her son and his family, it continues to improve until it turned into a jam-packed restobar!

Most people may see Oinky’s as a restaurant for adults but that’s actually a myth because they provide menu that is suitable for kids, students and adults. Oinky’s isn’t only for those who just got their monthly salary, but it is also for those who has a limited budget. Whichever you are in this list, you will be able to experience a city nightlife in our very own province with Oinky’s.

Mindoro Sling (left) and Weng Weng (right)

I’m no expert to alcoholic drinks. Honestly, I learned drinking right at this place so who am I to critique. But the fact that their customers keep coming back for their towers proves that they are worthy for another round. We can’t deny that Oinky’s cocktails, Mindoro Sling, Weng Weng, Blue Job and Anti-freeze, are divine. We usually hear these cocktail names in Puerto Galera and I’m glad that Oinky’s brought better versions of these in Pinamalayan.

Blue Job

I prefer the Mindoro Sling among the four because it has a strong taste of four seasons and I think, it has the least alcoholic content. Both Weng Weng and Blue Job balances the bitterness of the alcohol and sweetness of the juice. I have’t tried Anti-Freeze but my friends said that it is equally delicious. Because of the tropical flavors of these cocktails, the effect of the alcohol on your body is slow. You won’t notice that you’re drunk.

Nilasing na Hipong Tilandi

On the other hand, Nilasing na Hipong Tilandi is my favorite bar chow in Oinky’s. These shrimps have fat and flavorful meat despite of being tiny. Plus, the soft shells give a satisfying crunch. It is accompanied with vinegar pepped up with lots of cucumber slices. We are also confident with the quality and freshness of their shrimps since they were caught from our Mindoro’s Naujan Lake.

Sizzling Beef Pares (left) and Pola Express (right)

Sizzling Beef Pares is the newest addition to their menu but will never be the last when it comes to delectability. The soft meat and savory sauce has a small kick of saltiness that makes this dish a perfect partner for either beer or rice. As a Mindorena, Pola Express is a dish to be proud of. In this dish, they feature Pola’s special ingredient, which is clams, and I must say that Oinky’s did a great job serving these shells.

Sizzling Pork Sisig

No night bonding at Oinky’s is complete without their Sizzling Pork Sisig. It’s one of their bestsellers! I like that it doesn’t have a strong taste of liver and doesn’t have much fats on it. It’s just pure meatiness. Moreover, it’s kinda toasted which adds to the crispiness of the pork hash. Their sisig also comes in chicken, which can be served on a sizzling plate or as a meal with rice, just like the pork sisig.

Buffalo Wings and Chips

At a price that is surely affordable and reasonable, you can already enjoy six pieces of buffalo wings in this restaurant. And the best part in this dish are the chips, which are also seasoned in buffalo sauce. Chicken wings and potato chips in one? That’s a real deal! Both of this finger food will leave you on fire. Just by this photo, I know you are drooling already. Why don’t you just go to Oinky’s and have an order for yourself.

Sizzling Pork Tapa

The Sizzling Pork Tapa of Oinky’s is always a winner because it’s not your typical tapa. It’s quite sweet with all the red onion rings in it, but I must admit that everything goes well together. In fact, it doesn’t need vinegar or other sauce because it’s already toothsome on its own. The softness of the meat is easily noticeable. I like that it has generous serving, which makes it fun to share with friends and beermates.

You will definitely enjoy your time in Oinky’s because aside from eating and drinking with your friends, you can also show your singing talents in their videoke bar and your dancing skills in their Dance Dance Revolution corner. You can also play your favorite beet games if you wish to. With its cool doodle art-painted walls, air-conditioned room, comfortable dining sets and lively ambiance, Oinky’s Mindoro Delicacies is the best hangout spot in Pinamalayan.
