Peaches N’ Cream: Satisfy Your Cravings!

It’s the 125th day of quarantine period in our region and luckily, we got the chance to visit this famous bakeshop in Calapan before they lock the city down again.

It’s a shame if you’re from Calapan and you do not know Peaches and Cream. Even we, who are from Pinamalayan, are familiar with this bakeshop. I remember dropping by this shop whenever we go to Calapan when I was younger as my mom used to buy her favorite breads and cakes here.

Today, we’ll get a look back to their products. Let’s talk about why they’re loved by everybody.

Strawberry Cake

The bakeshop recommended their Strawberry Cake for Mother’s Day. I ordered this two days in advance so I’m judging this based on it’s taste after two days so it’s up to you if you’re gonna count this review or not. Anyway, it’s actually a chocolate cake beneath strawberry frosting. The frosting has the right sweetness and delightful strawberry flavor. However, the chocolate cake is dry. I wish there was filling to ease the dryness. After all, the cake was big and thick.

Rocky Road Cake

Honestly, I’m not sure if I named this cake correctly because I’m confused between their Rocky Road Cake and Mocha Cake since they almost have the same design. I heard them say that this is Rocky Road but I can’t find nuts and marshmallows. Besides, its cake tastes like mocha so I don’t know. Nevertheless, I must say that this cake actually delectable. It might be simple-looking but you will be surprised with a two-layer cake with different flavors inside.

Yema Cake

Visually, we can already see how yummy this Yema Cake is because of the generous amount of custard frosting on all sides of the cake. It’s absolutely thick! Tastewise, I like the hint of lemon zest into this sweet delight. After finishing the cake, I found myself scraping the sides to get the frosting. The cake was quite tough but it’s moist. Peaches N’ Cream also has smaller Yema Cakes which are good to go.

Tasty Bread

We stopped by Peaches N’ Cream Bakeshop to buy gifts for our employees and coincidentally, my mom is asking me to buy Tasty Bread.  It was immediately consumed when we got home. It’s soft and flavorful. I know white bread is bland but this has comforting flavors. This is the taste I always look for in a bread. Even though it’s already good and tasty on its own, I’m sure that this bread will make a good sandwich.

Mango Graham Milk Tea / Green Apple Fruit Tea

Recently, they added milk teas to their product offerings as it become a craze in Calapan. I like the Mango Graham Milk Tea. The mixture of milk tea, graham and cream is delish. The mango has the right sweetness. I’m amazed with the flavors of the cream. It just shows that their baking skills are evident even in drinks. For the Green Apple Fruit Tea, I first noticed its blandness. I don’t know if it has excessive tea or water. But I can’t recognize the green apple.
