Fab’s Star Frappe

It’s the 342nd day of quarantine period in our region and because of the pandemic, we still have our food orders delivered most of the time instead of dining or getting them at restaurants directly. Thanks to TikTok! I was able to visit Star Frappe. Let’s just say that I’m in Star Frappe right now. But all the fun aside, I’m glad that there’s now a frappe shop, that’s located in my hometown. It’s not just an ordinary food cart, it’s Star Frappe! It’s a concept built by a franchising company that offers affordable food carts. It serves a variety of shakes and milk tea at affordable prices. Just imagine over five hundred branches nationwide. Wow! Let’s give this beverage a try.

Cappuccino

The whipped cream is bland but it just blends with the sweet drink. I bought and stocked this in fridge for a day and it’s amazing that the whipped cream haven’t melted. Plus, the flavor has been consistent even after a day. I can recognize the coffee but I wish it was stronger. You know how I love javas! The milk they used made the frappe creamier in texture and in flavor.

Choco Fudge

Choco Fudge reminds me of childhood since the taste is similar to chocolate-flavored ice scramble without the marshmallows and skimmed milk powder but with whipped cream. The most delightful part was sipping the chocolate fudge itself. It’s rich and silky. I wish it has more! This cup may consist triple chocolate, having choclate fudge, chocolate drink and chocolate chips, but they were able to balance the sweetness.

Choco Java

When we say Choco Java, Starbucks’ Java Chip Frappuccino is always the first thing that comes to mind. It became everybody’s fave because in every sip, you would feel that it’s generous in chocolate chips, hence the name. The chocolate shake in Star Frappe’s Java Chip is actually good. I think they use the same chocolate base for all of their Chocolate Blend Frappes. I was just expecting to munch more bits from it.

Strawberry Chips

When it comes to frappes, I always want its ice to be fine or almost melted so it won’t bother the drinking moment. But in this case, it is not desirable because it’s like drinking strawberry syrup with water added. It’s very thin. There’s neither creaminess nor thickness at all. There are no elements aside from the mini marshmallows. Actually, they should have named it Strawberry Mallows because I can not feel any chips here.

Mango Graham

Adding Mango Graham Frappe into the menu is a good idea since it’s on the trend today. The mango flavoring they used is sweet and creamy, which I truly appreciate. I wish there were more grahams though. I recommend on adding crumbs instead of powder so we can feel it more. It’s amazing that even the whipped cream has absorbed the mango flavor. The ice is so fine, which is how I always want my frappe to be. You wouldn’t think that it’s made with crushed ice.

Taro Milk Tea

The flavoring in this taro milk tea is really dominating to the point that I could hardly taste the tea in it, which makes me ask, “Did they really put tea in this cup?” Yes, there’s milk but it’s very minimal. If there’s milk, it should have a creamy effect to this drink. Since this is full of flavoring, it doesn’t taste natural at all as if it’s flavored with Injoy products. And it tastes more of Ube Macapuno than Taro. Its flavor even sticks to the pearls.
