Did you know that the parking lot is almost a kilometer away from the reception area? It’s a good thing that they offer free shuttle services to and fro. Aside from the view deck, the complex also houses restaurant, conference room, swimming pool and activity area.

Then, guests have to climb up a Chocolate Hill. Sounds tiring yet fun, right? This stairway, with more than 200 steps, will lead you to the view deck. Along the way, you’ll meet the grotto of Our Lady Of Lourdes where you can meditate for a while. There are also covered deck rest stops in every quarter of the way. It’s quite a tiring activity to climb the stairway but once you reach the top, it will be paid off with the rewarding and breathtaking view of the famous Chocolate Hills. Of course, we wouldn’t let the time for climbing be longer than the time for staying on top. So we decided to hang out here for a while as we took photos of the surprisingly impressive sceneries.

Your Chocolate Hills visit won’t be enough without trying the ATV riding. I absolutely recommend roaming around a portion of Chocolate Hills field using these fun rides. There are a lot of stores located just before the Chocolate Hills Complex that offers ATVs and UTVs for rent. We availed the services from Kaojong ATV Rental and we didn’t regret it.

It was a bumpy ride since we were venturing an unpaved and rough terrain. Plus, the trail was muddy because it rained before we rode. But honestly, the experience is totally memorable. I never thought that stumbling into big rocks, tree roots and puddles of mud and getting down and dirty would make it even more exciting.

We were led by a tour guide, who I really admire because of his energy, hospitality and patience to accomodate us and to teach me how to drive the thing. The guides, as well as the staff in reception, were all smiles while they do their jobs. It’s so heartwarming to see them happy while serving the customers.

Kuya isn’t just an entertaining tour guide. He is also a great photographer as he knows the right angles and postures for us to get amazing photos with the Chocolate Hills. Actually, the optical illusion in these shots were all his gimmick. We didn’t just enjoy playing with the camera, we also have amusing remembrance to take home.
