Fruitas: Fruit As Fresh, As Good, As Delicious

When it comes to stalls that offers fresh fruit shakes, Fruitas is the first thing that comes to my mind that is branded and high-quality. And by fresh, I mean refreshments that use real fruits instead of powder or syrup flavorings. Fruitas has already been my go-to place since I was young as it hasn’t fail me. And although it reached its success and fame nationwide, I think Fruitas deserve a spot in my blog to receive compliments.

Fruitas is the flagship brand of Fruitas Holdings, Inc. It is the first brand they built opening its first stall on 2002 at SM Manila. “Fast forward to 2017, FHI has more than 800 profitable stores across the Philippines and has 20 brands in its portfolio like Buko Loco, De Original Jamaican Pattie Shop and Juice Bar, Juice Avenue, Johnn Lemon, Black Pearl, Buko Ni Fruitas, Fruitas Ice Candy to name a few.

But in this blog post, let’s tackle Fruitas first and some products they offer.

Mango / Buko

I ordered a mango carrot mix but I got a plain mango shake only. I’m not complaining though because I’m satisfied with the taste. I bought this last March so it’s kinda understandable why it’s a little bit sour. I also ordered plain Buko and plain Avocado for my companions. Rating them based on the texture, Avocado is the smoothest. Mango is quite watery with bits of ice. Buko has coarsest ice but I appreciate the bits of coconut meat in it.

Lychee Melon / Buko Keso

So they have this option wherein customers can choose fruits to combine. I picked melon and lychee and I think I picked a good combo. There are pulps of melon, too. On the other hand, Buko Keso is an existing mix in their menu so it’s like it’s very recommendable. The mix was wierd but awesome. I’m surprised that they complement each other. This reminds me of Filipino rice cakes with cheese on top like puto and bibingka.

Autumn

Fruitas offers four four season flavors namely spring, summer, winter and autumn. Well, that’s a cute idea. I got Autumn, which consists of orange, mango, watermelon and banana. The flavors of banana and mango were recognizable. However, I can’t find orange and watermelon in this cup. But one thing’s for sure. These four fruits has a delicious and refreshing blend. If only I wouldn’t have a brain freeze, I can drink this in one sipping.

Buko Juice

These bottled fresh buko juice are our faves in Fruitas. It comes in several flavors and I actually do not know how to describe them because their name says it all. The Fresh Buko Juice, which is the clear one, is truly natural. The Coco Milky, which is the white one, is milky in flavor. The Coco Pandan, which is the green one, has the perfect balance of coconut and pandan. The coconut meat, nata de coco and jelly were good addition, respectively.

Dalandan Bottled Juice / Guyabano Bottled Juice

They are bottled so it means that they are preserved but I’m so amazed that they still managed to taste natural. Dalandan bottled juice is not too tangy but not too sweet. On the other hand, while drinking Guyabano bottled juice, it’s like i’m sipping the real juices of a guyabano fruit. It’s like I’m eating it but without the seeds. For me, Dalandan is better. I just can’t stop drinking it.
