Happy National S’mores Day!

Today, August 10, we honor the quintessential campfire treat and one of the most popular North American desserts. It’s National S’mores Day, everyone!

The first mention of such a treat was in the 1920s in a book of recipes published by Campfire Marshmallows, home of the original marshmallow. But the name, s’mores, started when the Girl Scouts published a similar recipe in “Tramping and Trailing with the Girl Scouts” in 1927 and called it ‘some more.’ Today, S’more has us salivating in anticipation of smashing those tasty toasted marshmallows with a slab of chocolate between two graham crackers.

Never tried them? The S’mores Day is perfect day to get started. Read on for the latest trends in making s’mores and try a new twist on an old favorite tonight.

Classic S’mores

Let’s start with the classic S’mores sandwich but featuring the home appliances version because we’re not in a campfire party. As long as you have microwave, air fryer, oven, griller or stove, you can stack up marshmallows, graham and chocolate bar and cook S’mores at home. It’s easy and quick to make. The preparation time is literally two minutes as long as you have all the ingredients in your kitchen cupboard.

S’mores Cookies

These are actually the most memorable cookies that I made because it’s my first successful cookie and they’re amazingly delightful. Well, that’s not a question because we have all the beautiful things in one cookie. This combination of chocolate chips, marshmallow, graham and brown butter dough may raise our blood sugar level but these are cookies! Nothing’s gonna stop us from munching these goeey treat.

S’mores Dip

Before the era of TikTok recipes, we were so obsessed on watching Buzzfeed recipes. Buzzfeed popularized dips like Pizza Dip and S’mores Dip. There’s no way that we’re not going to remake the yummy dip at home and add it on this list. A sized-up, super chocolatey twist on the classic American campfire treat. It’s quite burnt at the bottom of the pan so it isn’t far from the classic grilled S’mores.

S’mores Milk Tea

Enjoy the great outdoors at the comfort of your own homes! There’s no campfire necessary because we’ll have the grilled marshmallows, chocolate and graham crumbs ready for this quencher. S’mores Milk Tea is a limited product of Breen Milk Tea. Since it’s almost time for this special drink to say goodbye to our customers, I won’t be selfish to share its recipe so you can still enjoy this milk tea flavor.

S’mores Hot Chocolate

The S’mores drink number two reminds me of a chilly Christmas at a fireplace or a campout at fall. But even though the sun is up at S’mores day, it’s still luscious and comforting to drink S’mores Hot Chocolate. After all, it isn’t complicated to make one. Just make your go-to hot cocoa drink and infuse the S’mores ingredients while cooking the chocolate.

S’mores Waffle

This is not just a simple S’mores Waffle. This is a S’mores Waffle sandwich with chocolate, marshmallow and graham filling. Ugh! If you think that this waffle oozing with chocolatey goodness, marshmallow sweetness and graham crunch would give us diabetes, I’ll be willing to welcome it with open arms. Kidding aside, this recipe is a must-try for sure.

S’mores Pancake Cereal

On the other hand, TikTok represents Pancake Cereal! Pancake Cereal is made with teeny-tiny pancakes piled into a small bowl to look like a cereal. Then, I added S’mores as toppings to give a little twist. There’s no cooking required for this one. We’re just enjoying the mix of everything. Having this felt like I was a kid given cereal with chocolates, marshmallows and grahams on top by my mom.

Baileys S’mores Parfait

When we say Baileys, we instantly think about Irish whiskey that complements the fullness of dairy cream, the richness of cocoa and the fragrance of vanilla. With its creaminess, this liquor surely creates award-winning drinks such as martinis, cocktails, milkshakes and even lattes and other hot drinks. But I discovered that this whiskey isn’t limited to drinks. Baileys also make good dessert. On Baileys’ page, it’ll teach you to make Baileys version of S’mores Parfait.

S’mores Ice Cream Cake

I am officially obsessed in no-bake desserts and I see no sign of end in it. I just have no patience in waiting a long time to cook my dish. I have no patience in waiting a long time to cook my dish. I checked my cupboard and I thought I could make a S’mores Ice Cream Cake. With layers of crispy graham crust, sweet chocolate and yummy marahmallow, we take the camping party indoors.

S’mores Bagel

I must admit. Bagels are hard to make. But I found a two-ingredient recipe of making the bagel dough that may anger the chefs and bakers out there, but makes normal people’s work fast and easy. The secret ingredients are flour and Greek yogurt. Once baked, you can place in your favorite fillings. I suggest having marshmallows, chocolate and graham crumbs in there because S’mores is our topic for today.
