How To Make Choco Mousse Granola Parfait

Mousse, granolas and parfaits are some of the things that we can rarely see in the Philippines. Sadly, these are three of numerous stuff we didn’t got when other countries influenced us. Mousse, which is a soft food with light and fluffy texture due to air bubbles incorporated into it, originated in France. Granola, which is a meal consisting of oats, nuts, honey and sweeteners baked until crisp, got its roots from USA. Parfait, which is another French dessert, is a layered custard containing cream and fillings. May I present these three yummy treats in my latest recipe –  Choco Mousse Granola Parfait.

Anyway, you’ll notice that my parfaits are in two different colors. It’s because aside from granolas, I also made parfait with Oreo bits because my boyfriend wouldn’t like granolas for sure. He’s not fond of it. But for myself, I chose granola to balance the taste and sweetness and to balance the calories as well. However, the chocolate mousse is great with Oreo bits, too. So it’s up to your what ingredients you’ll use. After all, the twi will just follow these same easy steps.

1. Prepare all the ingredients needed.

  • 100g chocolate
  • granola
  • 300ml whipping cream

2. Chop the chocolate bar so it would melt easily.

3. Place a pot of a half cup water on heat and stir in the chocolate to melt.

4. Set the chocolate aside and whip the cream.

5. Pour the melted chocolate on the whipped cream.

6. Place chocolate cream on a piping bag.

7. Get your glasses and start layering with the chocolate cream at the bottom.

8. Throw in some granola.

9. Do this alternately until you reach the top.

10. Let it chill for hours.

11. Your Choco Mousse Granola Parfait is now done and ready to be served.
