I Love Milk Tea: Tea Goodness In A Cup

While the other side of the middle class milk tea world is dominated by Infinitea, I Love Milk Tea is extended across the other side. When I was taking up my college years in Manila, I remember being surrounded with Infinitea shops inside and outside school. On the other hand, my boyfriend said that I Love Milk Tea became their companion during their college years in Lipa.

All I’m saying is that when it comes to budget-friendly milk teas, it is always a rivalry between Infinitea and I Love Milk Tea. I already shared my thoughts about Infinitea when its branch first landed in our province. Now, the second milk tea giant in Oriental Mindoro, I Love Milk Tea, opened its doors in Calapan and Roxas. Let’s have a try.

order Soma WITHOUT SCRIPT Taro Milk Tea

Taro is my boyfriend’s first love in I Love Milk Tea. He keeps coming back to the milk tea shop to order this again and again. I had a sip on it and I easily noticed the richness of the taro flavor. I recommend choosing the 100% sugar level as it goes bland if the sweetness is lessened. He likes drinking them with nata and pearls. Their nata is chewy but small. The pearls were hard on the time I ordered.

I can’t help myself but compare I Love Milk Tea’s Peach Mango Fruit Tea to that of Infinitea and they’re different in some ways. In Infinitea, I can distinguish the peach and the mango but it’s too sweet. In I Love Milktea, at 100% sugar, it has the right sweetness, which gave way to the flavors of green tea. Although Infinitea’s Peach Mango is fruitier, I think I Love Milktea’s Peach Mango is better.

My first choice was Blueberry Cream. But sadly, it wasn’t available. However, I didn’t regret ordering their Strawberry Cheesecake Frappe. It was blended so well that I can’t feel the crushed ice. The frappe was smooth but not too thick. Their strawberry flavoring is good. It actually tastes like what we have here. It has attractive swirls on top. I just think that the whipped cream is too sweet.

I truly appreciate the rock salt and cheese. Although it didn’t get the Happy Lemon vibe, it’s amazing and complementing to Tiramisu. However, it’s not recongnizable all throughout the drinking time because of its small amount. Tiramisu has both the coffee and cookie flavor but it lacks in flavor of tea. But since I’m a coffee lover, I like this one. I recommend choosing the 100% sugar or else, it will be bland.

As you can see on the drizzle on the side of the cup, the brown sugar is lacking. Plus, its flavor is mild unlike in Tiger Sugar where you can totally feel the intensity of brown sugar. It’s still the same even after shaking. In fact, the caffeine from coffee jelly has more impact on the milk tea than the brown sugar itself. They have milk tea variants for brown sugar but I chose Classic as the base and I noticed that it’s more on milk than tea.

This is the kind of Matcha my taste buds is searching. It’s milky yet the green tea flavor is still overpowering. Although some may prefer the milkier ones like the Matcha in Breen, for me, I Love Milktea’s Matcha is better. The choco puff is addicting. I’m surprised that the chocolate blended with the matcha very well. So even though the matcha is quite bitter, it’s balanced with the choco puff’s sweetness. I also enjoyed the crunches from the puff. 

Wintermalt Cream Puff

I love their choco puff but never to cream puff again! It has this excessive sweetness and oily texture. It feels like they spread some Milk Krimstix Cream Paste on the side. Therefore, it isn’t compatible to a sweet milk tea. Plus, the milk tea isn’t cold enough so it didn’t help reduce the sugar at all. Another plus! The cream puff is too much. I guess half the cup is composed of this cream. The Wintermalt alone is good. Do not ruin it with this cream puff thing.

Choco Dinosaur

So this is their version of the famous Milo Dinosaur. I like that there is a lot of malt powder on top. The chocolate drink they used is not as flavorful though. But what caught my palate is the mini pearls. They call it mini but they’re actually as big as normal pearls. But it is delish! Soft, chewy and sweet are the right words. Probably, these are the best pearls I had in I love Milk Tea ever since I started buying from them.
