How To Make Orange Hot Chocolate

Plain hot chocolate is out! Orange hot chocolate is in!

I admit that it is my first time to put fruit peel on any drink so I’m no expert to this. I’m really sorry for realizing it just now but I was surprised at how this orange peel gave impact to my hot chocolate. I only dropped three small slices and my hot chocolate already acquired its orange flavor and aroma. It’s so fragrant that I want to drink it already while making. I have to keep reminding myself that this is for the blog and I have to decorate it and take photos of it first before enjoying this hot drink. Anyway, here’s the method and outcome.

1. Prepare all the ingredients needed. This includes chocolate powder, milk, orange, cane sugar and cream.

2. Get the milk and mix in chocolate powder and cane sugar.

3. Peel orange skin straight to the cup.

4. Heat it in the microwave for a minute to extract the flavor of the orange into hot chocolate.

5. While heating, shake cream in a mason jar to form a foam.

6. After heating, pour the orange-infused hot chocolate in your favorite cup or you can just remove the orange peel.

7. Top it with the frothed cream made and garnish with more orange zest.

8. Your Orange Hot Chocolate is now done and ready to be served.
