2019 Highlights + Travel OOTDs

I remember last year when I was having a quarter-life crisis because it became hard for me to be accepted on my job applications after I graduated. But this year, the world made me realize that I wasn’t meant to be an employee. I was meant to own a business.

2019 is indeed a prosperous one. Through our business, my boyfriend and I were able to earn beyond what we expected. Hence, we were able to travel from time to time as well.

Here’s a recap of my 2019 travel adventures. I would also like to take this opportunity to journal my OOTDs for the whole year!

Starting the year with another business opportunity for me and my boyfriend as we put up a milk tea shop in our town. But before we had our soft opening, we had a quick vacay at Mahalta Resort because we knew that the business would drain us on its first few months. Everything I want in my garden is here so Mahalta immediately became my happy place. After all, with the view of the sea and skies, it is very relaxing in here.

To have a resort look, I chose to wear my old floral maxi skirt and black crop top from a thrift shop and an online store respectively.

White Beach, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro

During summer, my boyfriend and I joined my parents’ company’s teambuilding at Puerto Galera. While they were having their activities, we roamed around White Beach. The beach isn’t new to us since we’ve been here multiple times already. But we still can’t help but be amazed with its beauty.

I’m summer-ready with my halter blouse from Crissa and denim shorts from St. Christopher Bazaar in SLEX Mamplasan. Oh! I also availed a braid service from one of the vendors here.

Tagbungan Mountain Resort, Baco, Oriental Mindoro

Tourists can experience both natural and manmade watercourse through Lantuyan River and Tagbungan pools respectively. Tagbungan Mountain Resort is a destination that will give you a taste of the province life. I’m thankful that I got to attend another teambuilding that took place here.

I grabbed this orange blouse from my mom’s wardrobe of old clothes so I’m not sure where this came from. I just knew that my unbranded denim shorts is from our local market.

Henann Regency Resort and Spa, Boracay, Aklan

I have been to Boracay before but this time, I’m old enough to appreciate the beauty of Boracay’s White Beach. It is not overrated. It is underappreciated for what it truly holds. We checked in at Henann Regency Resort and Spa and lived a luxurious life because of its amenities.

This year’s swimsuit is from DBE Clothing store in Shopee. This pink one-piece is named Julia One-piece Swimsuit because this kind of cut was once worn by Julia Barretto. I bought this denim short with the one I wore at Puerto Galera St. Christopher Bazaar in SLEX Mamplasan. On the other hand, the shades is my first pair of Sunnies glasses.

Mercado Del Lago, Taguig

At the height of food park trend, there’s Mercado Del Lago, a floating restaurant and food hall in Taguig. Mercado del Lago offers a lot of attractions that draws visitors. These ate the nipa hut dining, specialized food stalls, outdoor cinema, children’s playground and an area for fishing and boating.

It was a simple date night with my boyfriend so I only opted for a red Lacoste polo dress, paired with white Birkenstock slippers and Coach sling bag.

Camp John Hay, Baguio City, Benguet

We spent our first travel far from Manila and Mindoro without a chaperone in Baguio and ever since, Camp John Hay has been so special to me and my boyfriend. After all, we prefer cold days over summer so we enjoyed the relaxing scenery and fantastic aroma of pine trees and the foggy cool breeze of Baguio here.

I kept myself tucked in an H&M denim jacket and H&M high-waisted black pants. The black backpack is a gift from my aunt.

Chocolate Hills, Carmen, Bohol

It’s our first time in Bohol and, of course, we had to witness the beautiful and iconic Chocolate Hills. They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name. During this day, we also visited Philippine Tarsier SanctuaryLoboc River Cruise and Tamper Coffee and Brunch.

I remember buying the whole outfit merely for this trip. I bought a pair of white crop top and peach joggers at ClothesandCoffeePH in Shopee. However, the crop top was too small so I had to buy a new in H&M.

Azumi Boutique Hotel, Las Piñas

For my mom’s birthday, I decided to give her a staycation experience at Azumi Boutique Hotel. We took a break from huge and grand five-star hotels and appreciated the beauty of petite and quirky casual hotels. Here at Azumi Boutique Hotel, we were able to enjoy our privacy while relaxing and having fun.

When my mom took this shot of me sitting on the bed, I was ready for the pool so I was already wearing this striped swim top while drinking my morning coffee.
